We are a group of men that enjoy singing close a cappella harmony. Some say what we do is a great hobby. I profess to you that it is more than that when you are looking into the eyes of a bedridden patient or a residents eyes in a senior center, as you sing to them "White Christmas" or an old standard love song. It is great to share the emotion of an individual who has been sent a singing Valentine from the love of their life. What one individual can do with music is very special. What a quartet or chorus can do is extraordinary.
80+ singers gather to sing splendid choral repertoire. All ability levels welcome.

Is Six Appeal a comedy group, a vocal ensemble, or a rock band? Audiences have been trying to answer that question for years. Swearing off instruments, Six Appeal uses a cappella singing to span decades of classic oldies, current chart toppers, and catchy original tunes. Featuring vocal dexterity and adventurous song selection, the group explores all genres with a far-reaching repertoire that will surprise and captivate audiences regardless of the setting.
Despite their cheeky group name, the antics of these six young gentlemen provide a good natured atmosphere for their electrifying performance. A Six Appeal show will split your sides, feed your musical sweet tooth, and leave you wondering how in the world they pulled it off just with voices.
In 2009 Dr. Rachel Carlson wanted something to fill a gap she saw in the community: A choir for young professionals, everyday people from a variety of musical and non-musical backgrounds, who wanted to keep the making of music an active part of their lives. Neither professional nor amateur, this group would serve as a warm inclusive community yet still have a strong musical discipline. She reached out to her entire network of friends, coworkers, students and peers, ending up with a group with diverse backgrounds, skills and musical training. It was a group where everyone seemed to know at least one other member or had at least heard of several of the others. Because of this familiarity and emphasis on people and connections the group was named "Six Degree Singers" in reference to the Six Degrees of Separation.
As we have grown, SDS has matured in musical ability but has never lost sight of the idea that SDS is a product of pursuing our collective dreams and desire for community. We now work as a choir with one central mission: keep music alive for our members and our communities. To do this, SDS provides performances, free musical education, and public outreach to ensure that music doesn't fall into a forgotten or harmless hobby. These efforts are organized into half-year long "semesters." Each one has a theme that serves as our guide.
Six Degree Singers has sung at venues throughout the D.C.-metro area, including the Music Center at Strathmore, the Folger Shakespeare Library, the White House, and performances of the National Anthem for the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles. We proudly commission and premiere works from up-and-coming and local composers, and collaborate with other music groups, such the Penn State Glee Club and the Teatro Lirico of DC Spanish opera company, on performances that feature the musical abilities of SDS and its members.
Juxtaposing the traditional and the contemporary, New York City's Six13 is bringing an unprecedented style and energy to Jewish music with nothing but the power of the human voice.
You may have seen them online, where they've garnered over 15 million views on YouTube and Facebook; in national media outlets like The Today Show, The View, CBS, CNN or Huffington Post; or on Bruno Mars' Facebook page (he liked their Passover version of his song so much, he posted it there himself). They've also performed at the White House for a private audience of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Six13 is anchored by a strong Jewish identity, fueled by soulful harmonies, intricate arrangements and their signature dynamic, full-band-like sound, and driven by a mission to connect Jews around the world with their heritage through music.
January 2005 brought on a season of change for us, as Amy Fogerson left the group and was replaced by Jennifer Barnes. Shortly thereafter, both Gerald White and Gary Rosen also made the decision to leave the group to pursue other ventures, which created openings filled by tenor Greg Whipple and baritone Greg Jasperse. This 50% new group is now eagerly working towards the goal of being a powerful and cohesive musical unit, adding exciting new repertoire while maintaining the spirit and integrity for which Sixth Wave has always been known. Please keep checking back for new and exciting news and updates as things progress.....

The singers of Slavic Chorale sing the music of Slavic cultures both past and present, united in the goal of ministry and service.
We believe that humans were created with a deep spiritual need to worship their Creator, and that music is one of the primary ways in which we fulfill this need. Through the performance of musical masterpieces, and through the education of our audience and the musical leaders of our community, we can help people learn to fulfill their purpose and find real meaning in their lives.
Music has the ability to change the way we think. Choral singing in particular can reach us in a unique way, speaking to our soul. It is a gift from God, and one that we wish to share with the world.
Slavyanka is a mixed voice a cappella chorus based in San Francisco, California, and made up of amateur musicians from varied professions, including computer programmers, scientists, lawyers, and businessmen. The musical demands placed on the Chorus are quite high both because of technical content of the music and the nearly four octave range often required to sing it. We perform most of our music in Russian, though most of us do not speak Russian. Our chorus consists of 25 singers united by a common interest in the choral music of the peoples of Russia and Eastern Europe. Over the years we have compiled an enviable record of achievement.

Small Difference is definitely NOT what most people think of when they hear the word, "chorus," not even a queer chorus. Sure, our repertoire includes songs that are universal to LGBT and political activist choruses. But in Small Difference we also like to have fun...a LOT of fun...and sometimes that means singing songs that are silly, comical, sometimes rather uncouth, and even downright bawdy. If you listen to the songs and videos on this site (made when we were a women's chorus), you'll get an idea of what we mean. Do you have a sense of humor and a bit of a wild side? Then this chorus is for you!
Small Wonder Jazz Singers is a wonderful opportunity to sing jazz and pop music in a smaller group setting while making friends ranging in age from Young Professional to Newly Retired.
We are a four-part straight tone singing male a capella chorus of the Greater Knoxville Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, Inc.
Smorgaschord draws its name from ancient runic inscriptions of abundant food and music, the combination of which may lead to harmonic indigestion. We entertain at events around the Peninsula, including summer festivals, coffee shops, rehab centers, and occasionally, the checkout line of supermarkets. We could be right behind you in line. Look for the shoppers with a wide variety of musical styles and poorly-balanced nutritional choices. Hey, where did you find that bacon-flavored chocolate? Follow us on Facebook or Twitter and get your shopping cart harmonized.

Come sing with us, have a little fun and share some wonderful music with others.

We have a top-notch artistic director, Dr. Julie Carter, who pushes us to do our best, and we love her for it.

The "Atlanta Chapter" was chartered in 1957 as a chapter chorus of Sweet Adelines International. This original chapter, consisting of about 20 women, met weekly for the purpose of becoming educated while singing and performing the barbershop style of harmony. In 1970, two small chapters (The "Atlanta Chapter" and "Song of the South Chapter") decided to merge and became the "Song of Atlanta Chorus" and voila, an amazing chorus was born!.

We are a women's four-part acappella chorus, singing in the Barbershop tradition. Just because our artform has 19th century roots, doesn't mean our music does! Our current repertoire includes jazz, Broadway show tunes, the Beatles, pop standards, the Eurythmics, and anything else that catches our director's fancy.
We put on one large show a year, compete at the regional level, and find other opportunities to sing such as caroling and for occasional paid events.
