We are an award winning Sweet Adelines chorus located in the greater Joliet, IL area. We sing four part a cappella music of all genres. Midwest Crossroad Chorus' 45 singers love to perform, both at community events and in our own productions.
The Midwest Motet Society was formed in the winter of 2006. With a mission to bring quality chamber choral music to Chicago's Southland, the Midwest Motet Society is the only chamber ensemble performing this repertoire on a regular basis in the area.
The Midwest Motet Society is a chamber choir, based in the southern suburbs of Chicago. There is a whole repertoire of music not usually performed in our community and we believe it should be. The music we perform is a very specific kind-written for only a few voices on a part, such as madrigals and motets and even Bach Cantatas. Brahms wrote music for vocal quartets and piano and we have performed two of those works. With only a few voices on a part, each person and their voice is very important.
There is a greater opportunity to really know the other singers and to react to them musically. As a chamber choir, we usually perform in smaller venues, such as churches or people's homes. There is an intimacy not only with each other in our ensemble, but with our audience.
Founded in 1989, Midwest Vocal Express (MVE) male a cappella chorus specializes in "Storytelling through Song," performing Traditional barbershop favorites, Show tunes, Spirituals and Popular music

The Mighty Echoes were founded at the Olio Theater in Los Angeles in 1986 at the end of a long running musical by Harvey Shield 1284: The Pied Piper. Shortly thereafter they appeared on Who's the Boss as Tony Danza'a high school group the Dreamtones. This led to subsequent appearances on Murphy Brown, Family Matters, the MTV Superbowl Show and a featured role as the singing firemen in the Dennis Quaid, Debra Winger film Wilder Napalm.Over the years the Echoes have had the profound pleasure of performing with many greats from the pantheon of Rock and Roll, such as Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Chuck Berry, Richard "Louie Louie" Berry, The Shirelles, Little Anthony, The Coasters, The Penguins, Gene Chandler, The Dixie Cups, The DuPrees, The Crew Cuts, The Chordettes, The Diamonds, Miss Patty Page, The Four Seasons, Tony Orlando, The Moody Blues, Lou Reed and many more.
From the San Francisco Bay Area, Gospel Recording Artist Mighty Men of Faith ministers with energized anointing. They encourage an authentic atmosphere of worship on stage and their trademark sound, personal warmth and musical diligence leaves you eager for more. Embodying the love of God, their shows are heartfelt and soul stirring from the first note.
Their debut album "Because He Loves Me" and "Live at the Cubberley Theater" began a standard of encouraging and empowering people through song. Then "Nothing But Grace" and "Believe in His Promises" embarks on a Neo-Gospel sound with the timeless message that not only does Jesus save but that He'll be with you through your life's situations.

The brothers were highly successful and well liked. They were recognized nationally, then internationally. In 1934, The Mills Brothers became the first African-Americans to give a command performance before British royalty. They performed at the Regal Theatre for a special audience; King George V, Queen Mary, and the very special woman sitting in a box seat, their mother. Soon after this, while performing in England, John Jr. became ill. He was months recovering from pneumonia. Before he was completely well, the Brothers returned to England. John Jr. once again became sick, then died in the beginning of 1936.
After signing the three-year contract with William S. Paley, they became a national sensation. Their first record recorded for Brunswick, a remake of their "Tiger Rag" became a nation wide seller, the only record at that time to sell more than a million copies. Other hits quickly followed -- "Goodbye blues", their theme song, "You're Nobody's Sweetheart Now," "Ole Rockin' Chair," "Lazy River", "How'm I doin'," and others.

Milwaukee Children's Choir is Southeastern Wisconsin's premier children's choir. We provide children with exceptional choral music instruction and performance experiences they can get nowhere else in the area. Founded by Emily Holt Crocker in 1994, a new era began when Carol Storck became MCC's Artistic Director in 2009.
Under Ms. Storck's leadership, we offer programs for children ages 4 through 18. All classes and rehearsals are educational, child centered, and age appropriate. We believe in educating the whole child, and work with the human voice to teach not only music but also important life skills such as poise, self-confidence, focus, problem solving, and teamwork. Experts agree that singing in a choir has a remarkably positive impact on children. Choir parents agree with the experts. Our choristers simply say how much fun it is to be a part of the choir!
The Milwaukee Choral Artists (MCA) is Wisconsin's premier professional choral ensemble, and one of only five professional women's choral ensembles in the country. With its signature lush sound, MCA brings a distinctive repertory of choral and vocal masterworks-including well-known pieces, new music, seldom-performed works, and music of diverse cultures and historical periods-to concert audiences throughout the region.
Founded in 1998 as a chamber ensemble comprised of professional solo singers, MCA occupies a singular position of excellence in the city, state, and region. In December 2007, Tom Strini, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Music Critic, named the Milwaukee Choral Artists-Present Music collaborative performance of Olivier Messiaen's "Trois Petites Liturgies" (with MCA's Sharon Hansen conducting) the #1 Performing Arts Event of the Year. Two years previously, MCA's "Liederabend" was named the Journal Sentinel's #1 performing arts event of 2005; of the top ten events named that year, MCA held two positions.
The Milwaukee Choristers, Inc., seeks to provide for its members and the public a rich and diverse musical experience that is anchored in the best of the choral repertory, and aspires to a consistent level of performance that represents the finest of the choral art.
We have distinguished ourselves as one of Milwaukee's most versatile and popular mixed voice choruses for more than 85 years.
We began in November, 1933 when a group of nearly 20 graduates of Milwaukee's Riverside High School A Cappella Choir decided to meet, rehearse and, if possible, perform. With our high school conductor, Ellen Sargeant, on the podium, the dream was fulfilled and the rest is history.
In our eight decades of existence, the Choristers have had only seven conductors: Ellen Sargeant, Dorothy Royt, Donald Mohr, Roger Tweiten, Mark Aamot and B.H. Diekhoff. Currently, the choir is led by Dr. James B. Kinchen, Jr. of Sturtevant, WI, who was selected as the group's Music Director in 1993. Dr. Kinchen is a member of the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
The 150-member volunteer chorus has been praised by reviewers for "technical agility," "remarkable ensemble cohesion," and "tremendous clarity." In addition to performances with the MSO, the chorus has appeared on public television and recorded performances on radio stations throughout the country. The chorus has performed a cappella concerts to sold-out audiences and has made guest appearances with other performing arts groups including Present Music, Milwaukee Ballet, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The chorus has also made appearances at suburban Chicago's famed Ravinia Festival.
The Mineola Choral Society of Long Island, now celebrating our 73rd concert season, continues to grow both in numbers and repertoire. Consisting of 80 amateur singers from many professions and walks of life, the Mineola Choral Society is still much the same as it was when we began, rehearsing Monday evenings in a friendly, congenial atmosphere and performing two major concerts each season. Over the years, our concerts have featured many classical masterworks from immortals such as Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Haydn, Handel and Schubert, as well as the music of more modern composers including Berlin, Bernstein, Copland, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Gershwin, Webber, Orff, Durufle, Poulenc and many others. Below is a synopsis of our last five concerts.
Minimum Wage is a group that can only be described as inventive, insane and delightful! Picture the Marx Brothers, Forever Plaid and the Flying Karamozov Brothers rolled into one. Por example, one might witness a lecture on Spatula techniques that goes hilariously awry. Or a capricious, musical history lesson about the "'Histoire du le Burger." Or even a rap number with wildly eclectic choreography. They won a Bistro award for Outstanding Musical Comedy Act by BackStage Magazine and in 1999 they were chosen as the Mid Atlantic Harmony Sweepstakes Champions and went on to win "Audience Favorite" in the National Finals. They can be seen pseudo- regularly on the Food Network's, Doorknock Dinners and other TV appearances include The Fox Network, Comedy Central, Good Day New York, The Veronica Network and America's Funniest People(Grand Prize Winners).
The Minneapolis Commodore Chorus chartered with the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A.) in 1944 and continues that association with the current Barbershop Harmony Society. Our BHS District is Land O' Lakes.
FIFTEEN TIME...Land O' Lakes District Champions
FIVE TIME International Competition Medalists
A big, full quality sound combined with colorful costumes and entertaining stage play make any Commodore production a truly memorable experience.
Singing a cappella harmony in 4-part barbershop style is our hobby and we really enjoy doing it. We're always looking for men who love to sing. We invite you to join us at a rehearsal to see what it's all about.

In 2008, The Singers performed at the North Central Division Convention of the American Choral Directors Association, the American Guild of Organists National Convention, and shared the stage with the world renowned Harvard Glee Club under the direction of Jameson Marvin.
A family of choirs: Minnesota Chorale, Minneapolis Youth Chorus, Prelude Children's Choir and Voices of Experience
The choir is comprised of 20 male voices, selected by audition from a wide variety of congregations and denominations. In worship, the choir performs liturgy, hymns, anthems and psalms which create the office of Compline, or prayers at the close of the day.
The Minnesota Valley Chorale was established in the fall of 1978 by founding director Randi Ellefson and a handful of close friends with the intent to establish a quality choral performing group in the southern Minnesota area. It has evolved into an outstanding adult choral ensemble which presents performances in the fall and spring. While its members come from many different backgrounds and occupations, the goal of the Chorale is the same today as it was at its inception-to provide the audience with a rich and varied musical experience that is unique to this area
Minnesota Valley Chorus is a group of regional women singing barbershop harmony. We meet regularly to practice, perform, socilize and have fun. We are part of an International non-profit organization Sweet Adelines International with over 30,000 members world wide focusing on accapella singing and musical education. Our members currently live in Mankato, North Mankato, Eagle Lake, St. Peter, Elysian, Madelia, Nicollet, Rochester and Menominie, WI.
We love to sing and ring chords! We have an annual show in November, sing in regional churches during the summer, and compete in an annual regional contest. We would love to sing at your next event! In addition we currently have three quartets who perform throughout the region.
The Minnesota Valley Men's Chorale was organized in September of 2003. Steven Boehlke retired from Rosemount High School after 36 years as a public school choral director. The men's chorale was a dream of Boehlke's, along with several influential charter members. The chorale is a non-auditioned ensemble dedicated to singing together as a community and sharing the male chorus repertoire with the community
The chorale has a unique rehearsal schedule. We have a two concert season, fall and spring. Rehearsals begin approximately twelve weeks before the concerts. Traditionally, the fall concert is two weeks before Thanksgiving. The chorale then breaks for the holiday season. Rehearsals begin again the third week in January with concerts approximately 12 weeks later. The chorale has found that many men want to sing, but are involved in careers that won't allow them to sing with ensembles that meet for nine months.
For those who love to sing, there is little that is more satisfying than hearing voices joining together in song. Minnetonka Choral Society (MCS) offers those in the west metro of Minneapolis a music group to do just that. Tight harmonies are rewarding to hear resonate. A resolving chord brings a sense of completion. A melody can be as pleasing to sing, as it is to hear. Singers love to learn new music as well as return to an old standard on occasion. Those are just some of the reasons why the members of the MCS join the group and return year after year. It's fun to sing!
Minor Adjustment is a contemporary co-ed a cappella group from Seattle. Catch them at various concerts in the area, or reach out for a private event!
Minor Mischief A Cappella is a new ensemble of old friends, formed in 2020. The group is comprised of singers Christina Case (mezzo-soprano), Luke Ericksen (bass & vocal percussion), Ricky Pierce (tenor), Nathan Ringdal (bass), and Anna Torgerson (soprano).
Though the quintet itself is new, all of its musicians have been singing together for almost ten years, beginning their musical journeys together within the Vocal Jazz ensembles at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. With UMD Vocal Jazz, they have performed in over 50 concerts together, including most prominently as an opening act at the legendary Apollo Theater in New York, and in St. Mary's Cathedral in Limerick, Ireland.
A resident ensemble in the College of Music at Michigan State University, singers in mirabai are professionals in a variety of music-related careers including music educators in schools, universities and professional singers, many of whom sang as undergraduate or graduate students in the Michigan State University Women's Chamber Ensemble. Inspired by the spirit of our namesake, the 16th century mystic singer and poet who created her own destiny amid societal expectations to the contrary, each performer values the opportunity to share not only singing but mentorship and connectivity with women engaged in their own communities as agents of change for young women and the arts. As passionate advocates for music as a form of peace making, mirabai seeks to engage audiences in meaningful explorations of musics, texts, and conversation around contemporary issues of our time.
American vocal group that helped define the Motown sound of the 1960s; led by one of the most gifted, influential singer-songwriters in 20th-century popular music. In addition to Smokey Robinson, byname of William Robinson (b. Feb. 19, 1940, Detroit, Mich., U.S.), the principal members of the group were Warren Moore (b. Nov. 19, 1939, Detroit), Bobby Rogers (b. Feb. 19, 1940, Detroit), Ronnie White (b. April 5, 1939, Detroit), and Claudette Rogers (b. 1942). Whether writing for fellow artists Mary Wells, the Temptations, or Marvin Gaye or performing with the Miracles, singer-lyricist-arranger-producer Robinson created songs that were supremely balanced between the joy and pain of love. At once playful and passionate, Robinson's graceful lyrics led Bob Dylan to call him "America's greatest living poet."
The Mirandola Ensemble, established in 2011, is a Minneapolis, Minnesota-based professional choral ensemble dedicated to promoting the highest standards of choral music, the idea of choral music as 'high art' in the Western tradition, and the aesthetics of the Renaissance. The ensemble is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization, and has served multiple years as a Class Notes Artist-in-Residence for Classical Minnesota Public Radio. The group's studio albums "Unquiet Thoughts: The Lute Songs of John Dowland" and "Nymphs & Angels" are now available via iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and other streaming music services.
Mirinesse is Old English for "joyful women". The singers of Mirinesse Women's Choir are an auditioned group of approximately sixty women, ages 21-70, who enthusiastically and joyfully share their love of music, and strive to model the highest level of musicianship, artistry and individual vocal ability. To that end, co-conductors Rebecca Rottsolk and Beth Ann Bonnecroy seek out challenging and diverse repertoire from historic and contemporary sources throughout the world. That high-level repertoire then becomes the vehicle for education in performance practice, cultural context, language and understanding of text, musicianship and vocal technique
Tenor Joe "Moose" Murrin had sung in a quartet while in the Navy during World War I and he sang with the Chicago Police Octet for nine years. Art Bielan, lead, had sung with a number of quartets, including the Suberpa Four, the State Four, and the Forges Post quartet, the latter group being an American Legion foursome. Cy "You're Wrong" Perkins, who had sung baritone for a quarter century, was happy to point out other fellows' mistakes, thereby endearing himself to many barbershoppers. Pete "Butch" Buckley had previously contributed his resonant bass voice to the P&O Quartet and the Variety Four.
The Mishawum Choral Society has been active since 1963. Based in Woburn, MA, we perform twice a year and participate in community music programs.

The Mission Dolores Basilica Choir has received international acclaim, having performed tours of Italy, Austria, and Mexico. They have been the featured choir at liturgies at St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican, as well as at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City.
The Choir can be heard on several CD recordings that showcase the range and artistry of the group. A recording of their Mexico tour repertoire was released Christmas 2005.
On a mission to engage and inspire audiences through the transformational power of choral music, the Mission Peak Chamber Singers (MPCS) have long been part of the Bay Area choral scene. Established as the Ohlone Chamber Singers in the 1980 s, Mission Peak Chamber Singers struck out as an independent non-profit organization in 2014 after California community colleges withdrew support for choral arts. Now reliant upon the generosity of donors, fundraising and concert ticket sales, MPCS champions the cause of music as a community enterprise and as a medium of social change. Music is our gift to you, and we recognize and are deeply grateful for the steadily increasing support from our audience and donors!
Mission Valley Chorus is a group of women singers with a rich history spanning over 60 years of history as a chapter of Sweet Adelines International Region 12. Our dedication to harmony, and to our Director Angela Suraci, and to each other shapes the chorus as we make music together. We love to learn, sing, compete, and perform our four-part a cappella harmony, and we love to do all those things while having fun!

Auditions were held in January, 2011 to form the first group of 24 singers in the Chorus and work began immediately on our first concert.

The second concert of 2011 was held on December 3 at Christ Church Cathedral in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. Titled Mystic Nativity, this was a Christmas concert comprised of works devoted to the figure of the Virgin Mary, and the performance was enthusiastically received by a standing-room-only audience.
