The Longs Peak Chorus is one of many chapters of the Barbershop Harmony Society. We are a chorus of men who love to sing a cappella four part hamony. We annually perform two major shows, in the Spring and at Christmas, as well as a joint show with the Boulder Chapter. We also provide entertainment at local retirement communities and assisted living facilities in the Longmont area. We are available for a fee to perform at corporate or municipal events anywhere in the Northern Colorado Front Range area.
One of our claims to fame is that we have the third highest percentage of giving to the Harmony Foundation of all the chapters (over 700) in the entire Barbershop Harmony Society.
Since its founding in 2017, the Longwood Chorus has brought together singers of various healthcare backgrounds - medical, graduate, and public health students, researchers, clinical research coordinators, therapists, nurses, residents, and attending physicians - from local schools and hospitals, including Harvard Medical School, Boston University School of Medicine, Boston Children's Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. We stage biannual concerts along with numerous outreach performances at hospitals and community events.
We've been performing all over the Bay Area since 2004. We mostly sing original arrangements of pop covers, though our repertoire spans several decades and musical genres, including songs by: Gershwin, Annie Lennox, Simon & Garfunkel, Madonna, Stevie Wonder, The Postal Service, and even a little Bon Jovi. (Yep, Bon Jovi. May he forgive us.) We currently have 13 active members.

Los Cancioneros Master Chorale began in 1949 when a dozen neighbors in the Hollywood Riviera section of Torrance formed a small community chorus as an independent, nonprofit organization. The Lubbock Civic Chorale began in September 1976, following numerous enthusiastic performances by a "sing-along" group during the city's Bicentennial celebration. That first group was only a handful of singers who had a dream of creating choral excellence on the South Plains. Over the years, the group grew to a viable force in Lubbock. It successfully performed the works of such composers as Bach, Mozart, Haydn and Brahms. Most of these were accompanied by piano until the spring of 1985, when the Chorale was asked to perform with the Texas Tech University choirs and the University Symphony Orchestra in the annual Scholarship Concerts.
Following the 1987 Scholarship Concert, efforts were made to form a union between the civic and university forces. The Lubbock Civic Chorale and the Texas Tech Choral Union merged into the University-Civic Chorale to provide musical interaction between Tech's college students, faculty and staff and singers in the community. The result has been outstanding as the Chorale continues to act as an independent musical organization with both youthful enthusiasm and mature aspirations.
The combined forces created a chorale of substantial size, able to perform many of the major choral works with full orchestral accompaniment. Included in the chorale's recent repertoire are such works as G.F. Handel's Messiah and contemporary works such as Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, Karl Orff's Carmina Burana, Karl Jenkins' The Armed Man: a Mass for Peace, and Bethoven's monumental Ninth Symphony.
The ensemble changed its name to The Lubbock Chorale in October 1992 and has steadily and consistently grown in stature and reputation to become a viable artistic force in the South Plains. Concert seasons now regularly include the presentation of choral masterworks with full symphony orchestra. Realizing its educational vision and mission, the Chorale also provides between 10-15 scholarships to music students each year. An internal body of participating members called the Administrative Council governs the Lubbock Chorale, and a vitally active Board of Directors guides the organization in development and community relations.
In 2008 Dr. John Hollins was named Artistic Director of The Lubbock Chorale. With exciting new initiatives in advocacy, outreach, and education, the Chorale looks forward to continuing its tradition of presenting unique choral programs and artistic experiences to the Lubbock Community.

Previously known as the Lutheran Choir of Chicago, we were founded in 1947 as part of the centennial celebration of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. It also allowed us to embrace a vision- to become Chicago's premier sacred choral music ensemble- with the belief that experiencing the sacred is a transformative experience that our world needs.

Throughout our lives we experience changes with our voices. Our larynx and lungs experience the same aging issues that our legs and back do, and we may notice breathy tone, larger vibrato, narrower range, new breaks, less stamina, and less flexibility. Though the fountain of youth remains a mystery, we can offer practical exercises and medical insights to keep you singing into your 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond!
Educate yourself about what you can do to reinvigorate your singing and guide your voice as you age. Professional singer/educators from the Madison Choral Project along with medical professionals will lead sessions to help you navigate these changes and keep you singing for life.

The core ensemble is a SSAA group of twelve talented singers. The Magi Ensemble works to perform and record compositions from the Baltic region that are rarely heard outside of that area and to be an ambassador of the power of music in inter-cultural dialogue and identity.
The focus on Baltic music stems from the strong relationship between the choral department and the Baltic studies department at the University of Washington. This relationship helped establish the UW Baltic Choral Library, the first of it's kind in the United States. During her time at the UW, Heather MacLaughlin Garbes was asked to help organize this collection and that started her great interest in not only Baltic choral music, but also the use of music in political identity. The UW Baltic Choral Library continues to grow and develop and now has over 1000 pieces in the collection.
The founding members of the Magi Ensemble are all UW Chamber Singers alumni who have sung together in various ensembles in the Seattle area. They strive to balance the importance of genuine music making with friendship and camaraderie.
The Magic City Choral Society (MCCS) is an inclusive community based choral arts, education, performance organization. MCCS strives to maintain the finest non-auditioned men's and women's choruses in the nation, present the residents of Birmingham with live concerts of the choral masterworks of the highest caliber, provide educational outreach, and showcase Birmingham's cultural distinction.

The choruses present 3-4 free concerts each year, and each concert is performed at least twice and often more. Each concert series cost MCCS an average $15,000 to produce and represents a total of 12-16 hours of live concerts. These are choral masterworks of the highest caliber that entertain, educate, and inspire more than 3000 concert attendees from across the region. Two of Birmingham's best cultural distinctions are always featured at each performance: the performers and some of Birmingham's finest concert venues. Each performance represents more than 60 hours of music and vocal education that members receive during weekly rehearsals August through May. While the quality of performance is immediately observable, participants possessing more singing experience and those with degrees in music liken the kind of education received through MCCS as equivalent if not better than they received in higher education.
