Harmonia Atlanta is an auditioned chorus who meet regularly to practice, perform, socialize, and have fun. We currently have over 50 singers of all ages, all walks of life, and from all parts of the Atlanta metro area.
The mission of Harmonia Atlanta is to create opportunities for our community to experience and be enriched by excellent choral music. We hold several concerts per season and perform for a number of community events.
The mission of Harmonia is to present quality choral literature, primarily a cappella, in a way that is accessible to all audiences. Our goal is to ignite an interest in familiar and unfamiliar choral works from a broad spectrum of styles and time periods. Each presentation should be an emotional, exciting, educational, and inspirational experience for the singers and the audience. We present four major concert series annually, not including special outreach engagements. Another major component of our mission is education outreach and collaboration with young singers through workshops and concerts.
Harmonic North is a recording project, unique, eclectic and unforgettable. This trio of men have been singing together since 1991 when they founded the original Five O'Clock Shadow, a Boston-based vocal band (long since left in other hands). Although they all trained in classical vocal performance, in their regular lives these gentlemen are husbands, fathers, a doctor, an engineering manager, an office manager and many other things besides musicians.
They are grateful for this oasis into one of the things they love most, which is harmonizing together. Harmonic North is like a compass in that sense, and periodically brings them together in search of the perfect chord.
HARMONIES GIRLS CHOIR has been recognized as an "elite" treble choir since its first appearance, in November 2002, for the dedication of St. Thomas Church , where they sang works by Mozart and Michael Praetorius. Since that year, they perform every year at the St. Sophia Orthodox Cathedral with great acclaim at its annual classical Christmas concert. They were soon invited to perform at the Our Lady of Los Angeles Cathedral , where now they are booked frequently for many events and in many other churches in L.A. and outside, including the Mission of St Ynes , in Solvang, CA
In July 2004, HARMONIES traveled to GERMANY to its first international tour since the group was selected to participate as a performing choir at the PUERICANTORES CHOIR FESTIVAL 2004. The girls sang at the Karmelitenkirche and Brendlorenzen in Bad Neustadt; Bad Konigshofen kirke ; the Wurzburger Dome in Wurzburg; Bad Kogahofen Kirke in Kaarst; the Folk im (Dom) Forum and the Great Cathedral of the Magi , in Cologne. The tour was a success, and Mr. Espinal and the choir were widely acclaimed by a warm German audience. Harmonies received reviews on the German newspapers "Bad Neustadt" and "Rhon-u Saalepost".
Harmonious Soul has a solid reputation of high caliber performances. Dedicated to peace and equality, this group boasts an incredible record, having entertained at many popular state events and venues in Connecticut. With an eclectic array of covers from traditional a cappella to country, jazz, and rock and roll, this group's music is as thought provoking as their sonority is deep. While drawing audiences with their blended sound and extensive range, this ensemble continues to perform throughout the New England area, singing from a self-invigorating and socially conscious repertoire.
Harmonium is an a cappella ensemble comprised of a banker, a teacher, a dentist, and an I.T. guy. Party waiting to happen, right? Wait until you hear them sing. In the short 2 1/2 years this quartet of guys have been together, they've reached the levels of 2015 Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) Semifinalist, 2016 BHS Semifinalist, and taken the 2016 BHS Central States District Championship. When they are not competing, Harmonium is busy headlining annual chapter shows, performing at community benefit events and guiding young voices at Youth In Harmony and Harmony Explosions around the midwest. Listeners go crazy for their tight harmonies and entertaining antics. Audiences of all ages always leave with a smile on their face, song in their heart and warmth in their soul.
Harmonium Choral Society, formed in Morristown in 1979, has become one of New Jersey s leading choral arts organizations, recognized for its musical excellence and innovative programming. Directed by Dr. Anne Matlack, the 100+ volunteer choir and 25-voice Chamber Singers are chosen through a selective audition process. We perform a broad choral repertoire with special emphasis on contemporary works. Our choir is multi-generational and includes high school and college age singers, teachers, IT professionals, artists, lawyers, and nurses, to name a few. Many singers lead their own choirs in schools or at places of worship.
Harmonium presents four concerts during the season, performing music to express a theme selected from a worldwide array of cultures, composers, styles, and languages. In addition, members of the choir sing at community events such as First Night in Morristown, a Halloween concert in Madison, and retirement centers. Our annual High School Student Choral Composition Contest, now in its 26th year, won the prestigious Chorus America Education and Outreach Award. Annual contest winners are premiered by Harmonium in concert. In 2010, the chorus was chosen to perform for the Eastern Division Convention of the American Choral Directors Association, and in 1998 Morris Arts presented Harmonium with the Outstanding Arts Organization Award.

Harmony Falls is a group of fun-loving, extra-ordinary women who love to sing, laugh, and share our joy of singing with our community. Some have a little musical background, but most just have a love of singing. Most don't even read music - our style of singing lends itself to "singing by ear" and we provide learning tracks for the various parts.
Women of any age are welcome. Singing is a wonderful family oriented activity - we have mother-daughters, aunt-nieces, and sisters singing with us.
A fusion of harmony, the ensemble was formed by the consolidation of two smaller choruses, both chapters of Sweet Adelines International. Harmony Bay Chorus, chartered in 1973, had a home in Oakland at the Lake Merritt United Methodist Church. Harmony Crossroads, chartered in 1993, was based at the Pleasanton Community Church in Pleasanton. The two groups once had occasion to sing together and, lo and behold, the blend was instantly intoxicating. We knew that together we had a sound that we wanted to hold onto.
The Harmony Halls came from a background of quartet singing that dated back two generations. Grandpa Hall sang bass in a quartet during Abraham Lincoln's presidency. Pop Hall, his son, was a choir and quartet singer at the turn of the century and when O. C. Cash founded the Society. It was only natural that some of the six Hall brothers would become barbershoppers.
Harold, Ray, and Gordon Hall, singing lead, bari, and bass respectively, formed the Hall Brothers quartet with tenor John "Slim" Peterson. At the 1942 national contest in Grand Rapids, the quartet made the finals with Frank Clark as tenor.
Our current members range in age from high school youth to senior citizens with over 60 years of singing experience in our chorus. By learning to blend our voices, we develop both our vocal skill and the bonds of friendship with each other. Singing invigorates us and keeps our minds sharp. Our mission includes reaching out to schools to assist them in bringing the gift of singing to their students.

We are a men's chorus of over 60 active members, some of whom also sing regularly with one of more other choruses. Most of us are veterans of military service, and because all of us are either retired or self-employed, we are glad to perform during the day when many groups cannot. We often sing for retirement communities, assisted living facilities, and church seniors groups.
A typical performance features 30-40 of our members, along with one or more of our quartets. We sing songs people love to hear in the traditional style known as "barbershop." We sing mostly familiar songs, many of them about fun and romance in "the good old days." All are sung from memory and without accompaniment in the rich harmonies that are the barbershop tradition.
The Federal Way Harmony Kings are dedicated to building better communities and bonding through the pure fun of a cappella harmony.

Harmony Northwest Chorus members find joy in performing and also make lasting friendships while rehearsing and singing. Women join Sweet Adelines because they like to sing. They stay because of the musical challenge, the rewards of individual achievement, the rewards of performance and the sense of belonging.
No truer words could be said about the joy of singing. What a world this would be if we could keep the whole world singing. We may not be able to change the entire world but we can sure make a difference in the lives around us.

In spring 2008, a group of men who love to sing gathered informally to explore the feasibility of forming a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) in the central Shenandoah Valley, perhaps in Harrisonburg. They decided there was enough interest to proceed and began to invite others to join them for evenings of harmony.
Since that first meeting, we have attracted other men who love to sing and who want to join the fun and fellowship of our group. We have established a music program we like, a record of well-received performances in the greater Harrisonburg area, an organizational structure which supports our activities, and a strong desire to thrive, grow, and increase our musical contributions to our community.
In 2009, we were granted our official charter as the Harrisonburg Chapter of the Southern Division, Mid-Atlantic District, Barbershop Harmony Society.
We are an amateur, not-for-profit organization, dedicated to meeting the needs and interests of our members. We actively recruit new members. We began with eight men and now have a chapter membership of 30. Some members have decades of barbershop experience, some are new to barbershop music.

America's oldest college chorus, the Harvard Glee Club was founded in March 1858 by the president of Harvard's Pierian Sodality and several of its College friends. Over the rest of the 19th century, HGC numbered about a dozen or two men and sang a repertoire ranging from old European and American college and folk songs to contemporary art songs to popular operetta/show tunes, often combining with banjo and mandolin ensembles and local bands. Its performances were not limited to metropolitan Boston but extended throughout the Northeast.
In the early years of the 20th century, many HGC members were also singing in the Harvard University Choir. They appreciated the advantage of the vocal training and of learning sacred music, and they gradually convinced the Club to ask the University Organist and Choirmaster, Dr. Archibald T. Davison, to coach HGC. From 1912, "Doc" Davison expanded the Glee Club's musical horizons and improved its vocal/choral abilities, as a larger HGC performed solo concerts as far afield as the Midwest. During this period, Doc began combining HGC with the women of the Radcliffe Choral Society for large choral-orchestral works; and in 1917, HGC and RCS began singing these works with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, an association that continued into the middle 1970s.

The Haven Quartet, a four-man Christian vocal group, began in 1934 as the musical arm of the Haven of Rest radio broadcast ministry. Radio was a medium in its infancy, and Christian broadcasting in particular was a new, uncharted territory. The Haven of Rest program, titled after the old gospel hymn of the same name, and replete with nautical references, was broadcast live, Mondays through Fridays, originally from the studio of pioneering radio station KFI in Los Angeles. As the broadcast became better known, it began being aired over a larger and larger network of radio stations in the US and Canada from its own distinctive ship-like studio in Hollywood, complete with portholes and decks. The Haven Quartet would sing 4-5 songs live over the air during each day's broadcast, either a cappella or with organ accompaniment.
