he Santa Clarita Valley Men of Harmony a-cappella chorus is celebrating its 44th year of service with a brand new show package. Couldn't make it to our last show? We'll bring it to you. With the success of TV shows featuring talented singers a-cappella music is once again being heard and admired across the country. We love to present the unaccompanied human voice, singing from the heart.
Our focus is on great singing with a variety of musical styles including Barbershop Harmony, Doo-wop, Swing Era jazz, Tin Pan Alley musicals, and classic pop tunes in the mix. This music can take you back to the good old days of our youth and the first time we fell in love. Our Men Of Harmony chorus talent includes quartets, dancers, jugglers, magicians, balloon artists and more.

We are the Men of Harmony and we would like for you to come sing with us. We are NOT a professional group, but we enjoy singing and the camaraderie of belonging to a group of men with a common interest.
The "Men Of Music" chorus has been singing in the Midland Michigan area since 1936 (originally known as the Dow Male Chorus). The current membership consists of over 50 men. Our director is Grace Marra and our accompanist is Jan Sutherland

Since its founding in 1984, The Mendelssohn Choir of Connecticut (MCC) is dedicated to the development of an appreciation of choral music through the presentation of public concerts and performances. MCC is known for its versatility of repertoire, including oratorio, symphonic, opera, Broadway and music of diversity.
Choral music can express extremely powerful emotions and engage listeners as nothing else can. We want our audiences to be drawn into the action and to be moved by the unique power of communication by many human voices.
old Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh (MCP) is re-inventing choral music for the 21st century. MCP singers are every-day community members from diverse backgrounds and professions who give generously of their time and talent to create powerful, unexpected, and deeply moving moments of musical discovery.
Now in its fourth season under Music Director Matthew Mehaffey, the MCP has also been celebrated for its exciting and innovating programming, such as the 2018 world premiere of The Times They Are A-Changin': The Words and Music of Bob Dylan by composer/conductor Steve Hackman. Other MCP commissions and premieres include works by Ned Rorem, Nancy Galbraith, and Derek Bermel.
One of this country's oldest choruses, Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia performs choral music to create a shared transcendent experience among its singers and audiences. Through the excellence of its adventurous performances, Mendelssohn Chorus advances the development of choral music as an art form.
Founded in 1992 by singer/composer Margy Crowningshield, singers Cynthia Frank and Sharon Hansen, and poet Karin Faulkner, the Mendocino Women's Choir has been together for almost twenty years. We're a feminist, progressive, loving and sassy, non-audition community choir. Over the years, the size of our choir has varied from 24 to 105 singers (yikes!), and our ages have ranged from 14 to 75. We perform a variety of music, from Mozart to Bartok, Bulgarian folk music to America doo-wop, Holly Near to Gregorian chant, and PDQ Bach to gospel.
Get to know your neighbors and have fun singing in the Menlo Park Chorus (MPC)! The MPC is a community choral organization whose goal is to rehearse and perform a wide variety of choral music and have fun doing it. The ensemble performs a wide variety of music and gives several concerts a year. Our singers span a wide range of ages and backgrounds. Some do not read music and have never been in a chorus before.
Founded in 1998, the Mennonite Children's Choir of Lancaster began as a choir of 31 singers under the direction of artistic director Patricia Strong Myers. Since then, the program has grown to include auditioned and non-auditioned choral opportunities for over 150 children and youth in kindergarten through grade 12. The singers represent a variety of churches, schools, and communities across Lancaster, Lebanon, and Chester counties. They gather on Tuesday evenings from August through May to participate in rigorous classes and rehearsals to prepare for sharing times and a Christmas and spring concert series.
In addition to the bi-annual concert series, the choirs collaborate with other arts organizations, participate in benefit concerts, and share music with schools and other community organizations. Annual summer tours have provided opportunities for national (over 15 states) and international (Canada, Germany, Albania, Bulgaria, Indonesia) travel and ministry. The choir has also had the privilege of singing at events such as Mennonite World Conference in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, local church conference events, Eastern Mennonite Mission events, Mennonite Central Committee benefit concerts and local school chapel services. In addition, the choir has enjoyed connecting with the local community by singing at locations such as retirement communities, Lancaster Central Market, Park City Center, Lancaster Barnstormers and Music for Everyone in Lancaster City.
The Men's Chorus of the Ozarks is a Tenor/Bass choral performing arts organization based in Springfield, Missouri, celebrating diversity, with an emphasis on the LGBT community!
Our growing presence adds to our community's reputation as progressive and open-minded, which enhances economic and cultural development,as it is a draw for forward-thinking leaders and a diverse workforce of professionals and eduactors alike.
The Chorus performs an eclectic mix of music to appeal to many segments of the community. We truly make an effort to perform a little something for everyone!
The Chorus was established in the fall of 1975 with a performance of Handel's Messiah on Sunday, December 7. Since then the Chorus has become an important part of the regional music scene and performs a December series of 4 concerts and a spring series of 3 concerts each year. The Chorus became incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1980 and is governed by a six-member board of directors. In 1985 the Chorus established an endowment fund to give financial stability to the organization and help fund special projects.
The Chorus has commissioned four works: For You, O Democracy by Lee Hoiby in 1993, Magnificat by Thomas Beveridge in 1995, O Come Emmanuel by Daniel Gawthorpe in 2000, and No Coward Soul Is Mine by Ola Gjeilo in 2011.
Today great music remains the focus of the Chorus and is annually enjoyed by capacity audiences. Chorus members come from throughout the tri-state area and the common bond is the simple joy of singing. Many professions and backgrounds are represented and the Chorus currently includes teachers, homemakers, farmers, attorneys, nurse and business people. Rehearsals begin on Tuesday evenings about 10 weeks prior to each program. Professional soloists and orchestra members perform with the chorus and the size of the orchestra varies with the requirements of the music.
An auditioned community chamber choir, Meridian Ensemble is comprised of volunteer singers dedicated to producing high quality performances of secular choral repertoire spanning from the late nineteenth century to modern day. We welcome new members with solid musical skills and choral experience. The ensemble meets on Wednesday evenings at acoustically wonderful Magnolia United Church of Christ. Auditions can be scheduled throughout the season.
The Meridian Singers are a friendly community choir, based in Bluntisham, who welcome adult members of all abilities and experience from the local area.
The Merrimack Valley Chorale (MVC) was conceived in the summer of 1982, for the purpose of presenting classical and popular choral music. The membership fully enjoys the music they sing while preserving and expanding the strong bonds of friendship that exist within the chorale. Membership is open to all interested with no auditions required. We hope you'll join us at one of our concerts as either an audience member or as a member of the chorale.
Merrimack Valley A Cappella (MVA) is an award-winning chorus based in Wilmington, Massachusetts that performs throughout the greater Boston area and southern New Hampshire. The women of MVC celebrate the joy of singing and achieve musical excellence through continuing education and performance while fostering individual growth.
The group continued to perform worldwide. They recorded commercials with Gilda Maiken (Anderson) of The Skylarks singing melody. The group stayed with Decca until 1949, when they moved over to Capitol and later to Era. In 1954 Vern Rowe took over for Dick Baldwin. The foursome of Judd and Ted McMichael, Marjorie Garland McMichael, and Vern Rowe continued the group's activities until 1964 when the act retired. Their last American performance was a 1968 reunion at the Hollywood Bowl. One of Ted's daughters, Geri Benson, became a second-generation lead singer of the Marry Macs, keeping the group's tradition alive. Ted is the only surviving member of the group and lives in Hemet, California, with his wife Carolyn.
The Messiah Choral Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 civic organization based in Winter Park, Florida. The society is not affiliated with any religious organization. We are open for all singers to participate. Each year, with generous community support, we raise all the funds necessary to continue our mission of providing a fine performance which is free to the public.
Over 40 years ago, William Eugene "Bill" Jarvis, a prominent Orlando music director, formed the society with the philosophy that Handel's Messiah was worthy of a group dedicated solely to the performance of this masterpiece. The extraordinary vision of William Jarvis continues to inspire us to perform this classical oratorio annually as a gift to the Orlando community.
MECC is open to all who love to sing. No audition is required but some choral music experience is recommended.

Metro Nashville Chorus was chartered as a Sweet Adelines International chorus in 1971 and has performed and promoted 4-part barbershop harmony in middle Tennessee for more than 40 years.
We are blessed to be under the direction of Master Director Kim Wonders. There are over 20,000 women and other marginalized genders involved in Sweet Adelines, and more than 600 choruses around the world. Every chorus, like every family, is special in its own way.
Our chorus is made up of members who are committed to each other and the music we create together. A coach once told us we "sing like we're holding hands" - with a connection that the audience can feel - and we try to live up to that with every song. We love to rehearse, we love to compete, we love to perform...and we'd love you to join us!
Formed in February of 1994, Metropolis has come to the attention of national television audiences within the past few years, beginning with their appearance on the pilot episode of Four Floor Show on E! Entertainment Television in June 1995 and the filming of a national Dr. Pepper commercial later that same year. They continue to make appearances in various media, most recently singing jingles for radio commercials and having appeared in the limited release film entitled "Pacino is Missing." The members of Metropolis have performed in a cappella groups on national and local television, film, radio, and in 28 different states and provinces including Florida, Michigan Minnesota, Hawaii, Alberta, Ontario, California, Arizona, and Nevada. They have competed in numerous different vocal styles encompassing Jazz, Doo-Wop, Broadway, R&B, Dixieland, Madrigal, and Opera.
The Metropolitan Chorale's emphasis on culturally significant programming, combined with excellence in performance, yields a unique artistic contribution to the city of Boston. We are led by Music Director Lisa Graham, four Artists-in-Residence, and an assistant conductor/collaborative pianist.
We love to sing! If you do too, there is a place for you in the Chorale. We are a volunteer ensemble who strives for artistic excellence, comprised of singers of all ages and experiences. We perform 2-3 concerts per season, and you are invited to join us for one or all of them. We perform a diverse repertoire consisting of many styles and time periods, seeking to create an inspiring and unique experience for our audience. also serves as the Evelyn Barry Director of Choral Programs at Wellesley College. Concerts explore works by many of today's leading American and British composers, as well as major choral masterworks, including Mendelssohn's Elijah, Bach's Mass in B minor, Vaughan Williams' Sea Symphony, and Handel's Israel in Egypt. Programs feature important artists of our day from bass-baritone Justin Hopkins and Esteli Gomez, a lead artist with the Grammy Award-winning Room Full of Teeth, to Robin Young, host of NPR's nationally syndicated program "Here and Now." Commissions include works by Kirke Mechem and Boston-based composer Thomas Vignieri. One of our most ambitious undertakings was the commissioning of Sh'ma, by Andy Vores, a piece memorializing Holocaust victims and survivors. The piece received recognition by The Boston Globe as one of the best new works.
Established in 1966 and recently recognized in the U.S. Congressional Record, The Metropolitan Chorus makes its home in Arlington, Virginia. The Chorus provides Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia residents an opportunity to hear great choral works...and perform!
Today, the 100-voice Chorus presents concerts featuring music of all ages, from the renaissance to the 21st century, with a strong emphasis on American composers.
The Metropolitan Chorus regularly performs in venues throughout the D.C. area, including the Kennedy Center, Constitution Hall and the National Building Museum. They also join forces with other musical organizations for unique performances and presents several free concerts each year as a special service to the community.
Now in its 50th year, the Metropolitan Detroit Chorale (MDC) continues to bring music to life and lives to music for area citizens. Under the direction of Howard C. Richards, the group was established in 1970 as the Fraser Civic Chorus and was comprised of Fraser residents. It was then, and continues to be, dedicated to providing beautiful vocal music for the community. In 1989, the group was incorporated as a non profit organization and became Fraser Chorale, Inc. Finally, in 1995, the group became Metropolitan Detroit Chorale, Inc.
Founded in 2001, The MetropoliTones is a New York City based a cappella group composed of graduates from the Seven Sisters colleges. When not working our day jobs (running conferences, crunching numbers on Wall Street or digging for fossils), we can be found adding musical pizazz to corporate, private and sporting events in the tri- state area. The MetropoliTones have performed at Cipriani, The New York Athletic Club, The Bitter End, The Pierre Hotel, Ronald McDonald House, The Bronx Zoo, Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum, Madison Square Garden, Prudential Center and Giants Stadium.
Established in 2015, Mezzo is a all-female a cappella group that has been performing all over the tri-state area. They pride themselves on cool arrangements of contemporary tunes, as well as reinventions of classic hits. The Miami Children's Chorus envisions a community where children can explore the joy of singing. The mission of the Miami Children's Chorus is to provide a music education and performance program for youth age 8-22 in Miami-Dade County. The MCC seeks to continuously enhance the cultural life of South Florida by providing choristers and audiences with an organization that teaches respect, teamwork, commitment, collaboration, artistic integrity and dedicated effort.
The Miami Collegium Musicum is Miami's community chamber choir. As the chorus of the Miami Bach Society the ensemble has given highly acclaimed performances of many Baroque masterpieces, including the Bach B Minor Mass, St. John, St. Matthew, and St. Mark Passions, the Christmas Oratorio, motets, and numerous cantatas; Handel oratorios and anthems; music of Heinrich Schutz, Henry Purcell, and Antonio Vivaldi; and modern world premieres of the Pergolesi Mass in D, the Lorenziti Mass (in collaboration with the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles), and the Pange Lingua of Michel Richard de Lalande. Collegium has also sung with the Mainly Mozart Festival, the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Naples Philharmonic, and it has toured in England, France, Germany, and Italy. In 1987 the group sang at the mass celebrated by Pope John Paul II in Miami.
The Collegium's 24 to 30 singers are of different backgrounds and of all ages-some members are students, some are faculty,some are in careers (teachers, medical people, bankers, attorneys), and some are retired.
Established in 1999 and currently under the direction of Artistic Director, Anthony Cabrera, the Miami Gay Men's Chorus is an inclusive, community-based organization of gay, bisexual, and transgender men and supporting people that inspires and changes lives through the power of music. With humor and heart, we proudly entertain our audiences while striving for artistic excellence.

Miami Sound Space was founded in March 2019. We provide music education experiences for all people of Miami. Our flagship ensemble, Miami Sound Choir serves as an inclusive platform for the diverse residents of Miami to cultivate unity through civic and artistic expression.
The Miami Chapter, a world class singing organization, member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, is a community based non-profit organization dedicated to educating the community on the American style of a cappella sing known as Barbershop preserving it for years to come. We do this by providing community services singing at local children's hospitals, community events, concerts, and hosting the weekly rehearsals of The Miamians.
Ranging in experience from dedicated amateur musicians to veteran professionals, MOS is composed of a chorus of over 140 auditioned voices and Kaleidoscope, a chamber ensemble of 36 voices. Based in Roswell since 1992, MOS provides the north metropolitan Atlanta community with choral presentations of artistic excellence and programmatic variety. Engaging, educating, and enriching north-Atlanta singers and audiences with compelling choral experiences that are innovative, multicultural, and multigenerational are hallmarks of the MOS philosophy. One of the most unique aspects of MOS is its commitment to innovative programming that extends beyond classical masterworks and sacred and secular choral music to genres such as Bluegrass, musical theater, jazz standards, opera, and rock 'n' roll. MOS programs have featured nationally known soloists and guest artists, as well as collaborations with other local arts organizations.
In 1983 Mark Hale and Greg Hollander joined the Barbershop Harmony Society. They quickly became friends and started singing in a quartet together within two months. This quartet, the Sound System, started with Mark on tenor and Greg on Baritone, but soon Greg moved to Bass and Mark moved to Baritone. Along with Phil Kinser, lead, and Mike Wheeley, tenor, they sang together for about five years, winning a district championship and competing at the International Competition in 1988. They retired in 1990.
Founded on the belief that music dramatically enhances the quality of life, Michigan State University's Community Music School (CMS) offers opportunities for the study, appreciation, and therapeutic use of music while nurturing the musical development of all individuals. CMS is the outreach division of the MSU College of Music.
At CMS, students and therapy clients are brought together with music professionals who are committed to sharing their extraordinary gifts by offering accessible and affordable music instruction, music therapy, and performance opportunities for all in the community.
MidLakes Chorus members share a love for music and singing barbershop harmony. As a member, you too can experience the exhilaration of performing and singing with MidLakes Chorus. Any woman of average singing ability, with or without vocal training, will find a part that fits her vocal range with the help of the chorus' musical leaders and directors.
The MidLakes Chorus performs regularly throughout the community, offering its talent for entertainment at civic events and charitable functions.
A quartet was organized by four employees at the Bell & Howell Company. Marty Mendro, lead; Forrest Haynes, baritone; and Bob Corbett, bass. Haynes had been a member of a quartet that was one of the last to appear on the Keith road show circuit on stage and radio. Mendro, a soloist in church choirs during his younger years, was introduced to barbershop harmony at Bell & Howell during World War II. The foursome became 6th place international finalists in 1945 and 1946 and were Illinois District champions in 1946.When three of the quartet members left Bell & Howell, the group changed its name to the Mid-States Four. The president of the Mid States Insurance Company had taken an interest in the quartet and offered to sponsor them, providing uniforms and expenses in return for jobs done for his firm if they would use the corporate name.
The Mid-Columbia Mastersingers was founded as "Consort Columbia" in 1986 by Estyn Goss, as an elite choir of auditioned singers. Since its beginning, the group has been a versatile one, having embodied at times a musical theatre group, symphonic chorus, operatic chorus and also serving as the umbrella organization for a children's choir. Mr. Goss led the group for 10 years, and following artistic directors included Reginald Unterseher (1996-2004) and Robert Bode (2005-2008), with Justin Raffa taking the position in 2008. Since his arrival, the choir has continued to grow in musical excellence, has become more widely-known throughout the community, and has dramatically increased its budget. Organizational focus has included musical excellence and diversity, outreach to the large Tri-Cities Hispanic population, and collaboration with other arts organizations.

With Ms. Bornstein's creative vision and charismatic leadership, the group's history began in 2005 when more than 130 community members and local musicians gathered to perform Paul Winter's Missa Gaia in celebration of Earth Day. This event, sponsored by the First Universalist Church in Rockland, brought together singers representing several generations and a wide range of musical skills. Performing to a sold-out audience of over 800 at the Strom Auditorium at Camden Hills Regional High School in Rockport, Maine, the chorus raised $10,000 for Tanglewood 4-H Camp, the first beneficiary of the vision to "harness the power of music to build community and change lives."

The Midlands Men's Chorus is a performance-oriented group with the goal of providing the members and audiences with musically rewarding and enjoyable experiences. We strive to provide members with the opportunity to explore and expand individual talents, musicianship and associated performance skills while working to advance the acceptance of and advocacy for the LGBTQIA and ally community - through music.
Our musical selections run the gamut from sacred to show tunes; varied and diverse as is our membership. We strongly believe more voices makes for a stronger chorus. Because of this, we don't hold auditions. We use Open Rehearsals as a way for potential new members to find out if they are comfortable singing with us.
