The Conestoga Chorus is an a cappella singing organization that is part of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Located in Grand Island, Nebraska, they have been entertaining audiences in and around the Grand Island area since 1985. The Grand Island Conestoga Chorus owes much of its existence to the Hastings Chorus of the Plains. In the early 80's there were several Grand Island men singing with the Hastings group. They decided that Grand Island should have its own chorus and, with much support from the Hastings Chorus of the Plains, became the nucleus of the current Grand Island Chapter.
We perform concerts in the fall and spring in East Bay venues, singing two concerts for each set. Occasionally, we have been asked to sing at various events in the area. However, we primarily focus on the fall and spring concerts, working hard on presenting the most polished performances possible, reflecting our passion for singing in harmony. Concerts are presented in Kensington and Walnut Creek in early December and mid-May.
Founded and run by its singers, Convivium Musicum has been dedicated to concerts of uplifting beauty since 1987. Praised in The Boston Musical Intelligencer for our " . . . radiant and full sound ... complete interpretive assurance and a palpable sense of dedication to this music," Convivium is known for performances of Renaissance choral music that shimmer with precision, fine intonation, rhythmic accuracy, and lively attention to text. Over nearly three decades we have offered rarely-heard gems alongside stirring masterworks, and have collaborated with the Boston Camerata, the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras, The Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra, and the Viola da Gamba Society of New England. Under Music Director Michael Barrett, our programs are informed by careful research and scholarship, and our performances are devoted to bringing to life the complex and profound emotional texture of this repertoire. Early Music America has acclaimed our performance as "the kind of transforming experience that concert junkies are always seeking." This is what Convivium strives for in every concert program.
Music is still a human experience, and to that end the Coolidge Corner Community Chorus welcomes all who wish to sing, regardless of experience or training. We sing music from all periods, sacred and secular; we perform masterworks as well as little known but greatly loved ancient and contemporary compositions. As one of Bach's major biographers wrote, referring to Bach's choral works, "in the end, these pieces are best performed by amateurs, for it is they who have the heart for it." It is the "heart for it" that informs our repertoire choices, our rehearsal practices, our performances. It is our deep belief that musical excellence is not only possible, but essential to those who enter into the experience of great music with belief and trust in self and each other.
As one of the longest-running a cappella groups in the Boston area, the Copley Cats are known for tight harmonies, amazing blend, and great music. The group's founders were Mount Holyoke grads who missed the great time they had singing in college and decided to form the Copley Cats. The original group's first gig was over 30 years ago and the music has been going strong since!
The Copley Cats have grown and evolved over time, but we always have a lot of fun. Members come from all sorts of backgrounds: teachers and administrators, librarians and marketers, designers, domestic engineers, and singer/songwriters. Regardless of our "day jobs," we enjoy getting together to sing.
Founded in 2007, the Copley Singers are a semi-professional and congenial group of colleagues and friends who gather eight to ten times a year to perform together. Many of the members have sung at Trinity Church, Copley Square, Boston; the group performs at a high standard which is informed by their great love of choral singing and their belief in its communicative power. The group performs regularly throughout New England, including programs in Boston, Cambridge, Methuen, Plymouth, Duxbury, the Cape and Islands, and many other venues.
In September 2011, they were invited to sing at Trinity Church Wall Street as part of a national commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. In the spring of 2009, they joined with the Ensemble Singers of Bermuda to perform a special concert which was part of the 400th anniversary of the establishment of the Island.

Counterpoint is Loyola University Chicago's premier competitive co-ed acapella group! They personally arrange and energetically perform a diverse range of music to feature at concerts, competitions, and on albums! Counterpoint provides not only a creative musical outlet for members and listeners, but take pride in sharing themselves with Chicago!
Beginning as a conversation about the musical opportunities for Loyola University Chicago, a small group of students already involved in the acapella scene at Loyola found that the community was missing one component...competition! Counterpoint was born out of a call for musical excellence, a competitive atmosphere, and a performance like none before it. After hand selecting founding members and an amazing turnout of auditions for new members, Counterpoint fought for and won recoginition with the Student Activities and Greek Affairs board. Now, they are on a mission to continue the momentum they started with and provide a great experience for audiences and members. They have lofty goals that will most definitely be met with a "Get It Done" attitude for competition, recording, and arranging like never before.
In 1972, a small group of singers assembled to provide entertainment for the Green Valley's Association banquet. Afterwards, when the group expressed interest to continue singing together, they found themselves without a leader. One of those singers was Joseph Hoover who agreed to take on the conductor's role with Corinne Griffiths as the accompanist. Together a group of 19 eager singers officially became the Coventry Singers and gave their first Christmas concert at French Creek Elementary School offering Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols.

Covington-Conyers Choral Guild. South East Atlanta's premiere community choral group since 1984.
Considered one of the best examples of a barbershop quartet ever produced by Sweet Adelines, The Cracker Jills brought to the stage a distinctive sound, credited in large part to Renee Limburg Craig's experience as a professional pop singer and to the sheer musicality of the foursome. They continued to thrill audiences until their retirement in 1967, marked by a one-quartet show at the Philadelphia Academy of Music in Philadelphia, PA.
The quartet members distinguished themselves in other ways as well: Judy Rowell served as Sweet Adelines' international president, 1964-66; Renee Craig (who began singing on the radio at the age of 3) was named to Sweet Adelines' original musical arrangements committee, which secured publication of the first women's barbershop arrangements and developed a program of arranger education.
The main purpose of Cranberry Shores Chorus is to get out and sing for our community. We sing at annual shows, a number of community events, and at the annual Sweet Adelines Region One competition. We are available to sing at your next function or event.
In the spring of every year, Cranberry Shores Chorus participates in the Region 1 chorus competition in Springfield, MA. Competitions are a special time for quartets and choruses from our region to come together to sing for each other, and get some constructive feedback from a panel of judges. The winners of the regional competition in both quartet and chorus categories get to travel to International Competition, which is held in the fall in a city selected each year.
Credo's repertoire is as diverse as its membership. While we most often perform music of living American composers, we strive to expose both singers and audience members alike to a vast array of styles and genres. Click HERE to see current and past repertoire lists.

Crossroads is the new "superquartet" on the Barbershop Block, formed of four singers who are former BHS International Gold medalists in their own right, tenor Fred Farrell, lead Mike Slamka, bass Jim Henry and baritone Brandon Guyton. Henry won Gold in 1993 as a founding member and arranger of the legendary Gas House Gang, and is currently musical and artistic director of the 160-voice Ambassadors of Harmony. Guyton pocketed Gold in 2002 with Four Voices, Slamka sang his way to Gold with 2003 champs Power Play, and Farrell wore Gold with 1989 Quartet champs Second Edition. With this much vocal and arranging talent and experience, it came as no great surprise that newly-formed Crossroads struck Gold again in Anaheim, CA in 2009!
