The Songs of the World Series has been perhaps the most popular series in the Pavane catalog. Angels We have Heard on High, a French carol, is part of the series' Collection #6, which also includes the Spanish Dance carol, Fum, Fum, Fum, and the English carol, How Far Is It to Bethlehem? Tastefully arranged as always! For church, school or community youth choir. Available: 2-Part.
Arranger: Sara Glick
The title is a bit deceiving because this Rossetti text is lauding the clouds of the sky over the boats and ships. Selected for the Judith Herrington series, this is a delightful song for children's choirs. A lilting 6/8 meter carries the flowing message steadily. Easy in difficulty.

The first "Solfege Suite" consists of three pieces of contrasting styles: "March," "Bolero," and "Gallop." The names give away the character, but the truly fabulous part is that the text is all solfege. Singers learn about musical names, intervals and solfege, while singing programmable music written for the 2006 ACDA Young Voices Boys Choir, directors have been begging for the music's release since its premiere.

Arranger Ken Berg (Birmingham Boys Choir) has given us a superb setting of the Howard Walter I Would Be True poem that is often set to the Scottish-Irish folk song Londonderry. An optional flute (C instrument) part is provided. The alternate text enables this edition to work well in church or school.

Selected for the Judith Herrington Choral Series, this piece uses the melody from The Rakes of Mallow and the text from The Galway Piper and serves us with a charming tune. The story of Piping Tim and his infectious flute give way to delightful tu-ku-tu duet before the story resumes. Children's and middle school choirs will enjoy the fun and learn about Tim and some well crafted music at the same time.
Arranger: Keith Loftis
Commissioned by the Manhattan Concert Productions, this piece was premiered at Carnegie Hall in 2017. The use of Tibetan bells and wind chimes provides an ethereal atmosphere that is echoed in the music and text. Originally written for young voices, this piece would also be effective by a treble choir of older voices. Its festival use has already become popular for any season. Easy to Medium in difficulty.

The birch tree is deeply rooted in the soil and this Russian folksong setting captures the essence of the imagery: graceful, tenderly sad, lost, but ultimately recovered and remembered. Well-crafted, this work will provide an expressive showcase for your young voices.
Arranger: Shirley McRae
This Russian folk song setting provides the metaphor of the mountain ash and oaktrees, separated by a river, poignantly portraying the sadness of ill-fated love. As always the craftsmanship is first rate, with a descriptive keyboard and well-written vocal lines. Excellent for young voices, school or concert.

Joseph Shabalala is best known for his work with Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Paul Simon. This delightful multicultural piece incorporates body percussion and some very fun words to say. Leanne Macdonnell's setting makes it a joyful number for childrens choirs everywhere.
Arranger: Leanne McDonnell | Composer: Paul Simon
This piece sounds exactly like its title: time. This wonderful children's song tells how time marches on and you can feel it pacing steadily forward with a dynamic piano part (available separately, is even more fun). Children will enjoy singing this selection and it will be a favorite at any school concert.
Composer: D. Farrell Smith
This famous work by Rachmaninoff is known for its beautiful, wandering melody over a luscious chamaeleon-like harmonic foundation. In this arrangement, the accompaniment has been simplified somewhat and a second vocal line added to complement the primary theme. An excellent introduction to the Romantic era!
Arranger: Allan Robert Petker
Emily John, harpist and elementary choral director, offers us an absolutely delightful setting of this absurd and playful nursery rhyme. Selected for the Judith Herrington Choral Series, historical and performance notes are provided. The nonsensical words which are part of the folk song add to the fun.

In this setting of the famous poem written for her choir's Japan tour, Judith Herrington has given this setting has a hint of an Asian flavor. An ideal musical greeting of good will, this work demonstrate the craftsmanship you've come to expect in the Herrington/Glick series.
