First published in 1842, this admired composition has been carefully arranged for SAB a cappella voices. Based on a 16th century French chanson, it contains the depth of many ages. Still appropriate for the worship service, it is also a valued concert piece, useful for small choirs both young and seasoned.
Arranger: Ed Hughes | Composer: Jacob Arcadelt
Featuring a text based upon Eleanor Farjeon's entrancing poem, The Night Will Never Stay allows one to recall the charm of a childhood bedtime story. With a childlike understanding of time's passage, SAB voices tell the tale as their own, but the piece can just as well be sung by adult singers as the bedtime storytellers. The music weaves its own special magic in bringing the story to life. Also available in 2-Part treble and mixed voicings.
Composer: Judith Herrington
This choral piece describes autumn in a wonderful way. The flowing music is captivating and lovely, making this an excellent piece for a fall program. The 2-part edition has been a favorite for many years. Here is a version for the middle school choirs.
Composer: Keith Loftis
The very best sellers from the Herrington/Glick arrangements of 2-part folk songs have been occasionally re-voiced for SAB with fabulous success. This the latest entry and falls well into line. The text probably appeals more to the middle/high school level than children's choirs anyway, and the musical setting maintains the expected excellence that has made their editions so popular.
Composer: Sara Glick
Well known for her hugely popular pieces for children and youth choirs, Judith Herrington brings us Gatatumba. A Christmas villancico from Andalucia, the writing is smart and skillful and the words are simply fun to sing! Pronunciation guide and translation are provided.

The 2-Part voicing was released last year and quickly became a huge favorite. It only made sense to release an SAB voicing. Now middle and high school choirs can enjoy this wondeful African multiculttural selection that incorporates body percussion. Easy.
