This is a re-publication of Doug's famous "Red Book," Jazz and Show Choir Handbook, published by Hinshaw Music, which has been expanded from 150 pages to over 330 pages. Doug Anderson is among the pioneers in vocal jazz development in the Pacific Northwest with 30 years of high school teaching experience. He is the past National Chairman of the ACDA Jazz and Show Choir Committee and a frequent judge at vocal jazz and show choir festivals across America. In this book Doug shares his experiences and wealth of knowledge and includes Kirk Marcy's Soundsation CD, "Simple Gifts," mounted in the back with a listening guide cross-reference throughout the book. This wonderful book is also written to be a supplemental text for a college choral methods class or as a guidebook for the school jazz or show choir.
