Truly an uplifting piece of promise and hope with a stirring history, this setting by English composer Paul Ayres is appropriate for graduation ceremonies, and concert occasions. Appropriate for both children's voices or adult voices, the optional cello part is a moving addition. A chamber orchestral accompaniment is available separately.
Composer: Paul Ayres
The new Jonathan Talberg Choral Series features advanced music of distinction for festival use. Dr. Talberg (Cal State Univ. Long Beach) is one of the new names on the guest conducting circuit with an ear for excellence. Cory Johnson uses the choral instrument masterfully to express the spiritual poetry of Rumi.
Composer: Cory Johnson
When Ken Berg's first Solfege Suite for 2-part voices appeared a few years ago, the response was unprecedented. Now the first set of three songs (Galop, March and Bolero) has been revoiced for SAB (middle school) choir and offers the same opportunities for learning the do-re-mi's that doubles as a concert piece.
Composer: Ken Berg
The first Solfege Suite consists of three pieces of contrasting styles: Bolero, Galop, and March. The names give away the character, but the truly fabulous part is that the text is all solfege. Singers learn about musical names, intervals and solfege, while singing programmable music. Written for the 2006 Alabama ACDA Young Voices Boys Choir, directors have been begging for the music's release since its premiere.
Composer: Ken Berg
As with most of the other Solfege Suite selections, this piece can be sung entirely in unison by following the melody voice throughout. The divisi in the melody lines are either in octaves or very simple 3rds. The harmony voice, while really cool, is entirely optional. Directors may choose to use them with a section of voices or an ensemble of voices, or not use them at all.
Composer: Ken Berg
Selected for the David Dickau Signature Series, this love song opens with touches of counterpoint this English folk song before moving into the familiar refrain. The balance of accompaniment and a cappella moments make this an excellent work for developing balance and blend.
Arranger: Mary Kay DeMaris
This song sings its message loud and clear: singing in a choir teaches community. Children love the message and how the tunes work together, musically illustrating the point. Great for children's choirs, festivals and concert. Easy.
Composer: Brian Tate
This song of joy and praise has been carefully edited for optimum performance by John Tebay. This exuberant Renaissance piece comes to life with its modern day key placement and notation. Perfect for high school, concert or church service.

Can learning Solfege really be fun? Is it possible to sing a song on Solfege in a concert? Ken Berg answered that question in a big way when, years ago, he wrote the first Galop for young voices. 100,000 copies later, plus an SAB voicing, it seemed only right to release a voicing for SATB. The song is a concert-pleaser for sure, and the learning of Solfege is undeniable. Easy.

Brian Tate is a master at creating a new song that sounds seasoned in time. Equally amazing is how natural the vocal parts are - almost singing themselves. Gather at the River reminds us of a hymn but sounds like a spiritual, and yet the message remains ubiquitous - both sacred and secular. Middle schools, high schools, churches and community choirs will find this an excellent piece to program. Easy.
Composer: Brian Tate
This is a modern day spiritual. The SATB voicing has been one of the best-selling pieces for many years. Now Brian Tate has given us an SAB edition, perfect for middle school choirs and small choirs. The words are reassuring and positive and tune simply rolls as easy as a gentle wave. Easy.

Brian Tate has cleverly combined the texts from a variety of frequently used spirituals to create a brand new choral selection. The yearning for belonging is quickly evident and rocks gently to a satisfying finish.

This great spiritual arrangement with optional djembe accompaniment could be the winner release for 2007. You can't sit still for this one. With optional solos and driving ostinato statements this piece does not let you down! Another super arrangement from Canadian composer, Brian Tate.

The text was found on a basement wall in Cologne after WWII, and embodies the strength of optimism we grasp at times of despair. Dedicated to the Katrina victims, Jonathan Adams has created a moving musical setting. In close harmonies he produces a melody that rises with the poem. Equally effective for church or school.
Composer: Jonathan Adams
The moving WWI poem by John McCrae has received many choral treatments, but talented composer, Doug Andrews, gives us a refreshing musical perspective. The lilting melody is caressed in gentle harmonies and tasteful part writing. A compelling tribute during times of conflict, this is an appropriate offering at this time.

This African song contains easy ostinato patterns that are simple to learn but sound wonderfully complex when all put together. An excellent selection for concert or festival use.
Arranger: Brian Tate
Brian Tate's arrangements are some of the most popular in our catalog. Set for 3-part SAB a cappella choir, this is a great piece that calls to the promised land and the hope that the singer qualifies for entry to see those that went before. For school and church choirs, young and old. The tender ending will capture your heart. Easy to medium.

The SAB edition became an immediate hit upon release. A period selection from the Renaissance, the English and Italian texts are both provided. The two part edition also contains an optional accompaniment.
Arranger: Eileen Brooks | Composer: Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina
The text speaks of justice and respect for one another and the music is serene yet powerful. Excellent for high school, college, as well as church, Mr. Levine's understanding of the a cappella choir is apparent. This is a beautiful piece that deserves high consideration.
Composer: Matthew Levine
The Solfege Suites are unquestionably the most popular set of chorals ever published by Pavane. Solfege Suite 4-Military Suite contains: Parade, Reveille and Taps. These pieces not only teach solfege and form but are also concert performable. Great for childrens and youth choirs. Percussion parts available as a free download.
Composer: Ken Berg
This energetic processional for a cappella voices and percussion defies categorization. This fun original work includes some alternate text ideas that make it useful for almost any occasion. The rhythms are hypnotic and the harmonies engaging.
Composer: Graeme Langager
Reminiscent of the 1980s but joyfully transcendent to the present day, Brian Tate gives us a gospel style song of optimism and hope. This tune will get an audience or congregation swaying. All choirs will gravitate to this upbeat song.

The Road Not Taken is one of America's favorite poems from Robert Frost, one of America's favorite writers. Respected composer David Dickau has given a new tune to this classic text. The musical writing matches the text superbly and with the melodic and harmonic flavor which are hallmarks of Dickau's compositional style. High school and college choirs will love this piece - an American classic.
Composer: David Dickau
Edwin Fissinger's music has a distinctly American sound, and his choral set "Dakota Prairies" uses poems that describe some of our north central states' most beautiful scenery. "The Wild Prairie Rose" is the third in the set and uses a poem by Alice Sinclair Page. The madrigal-style writing is excellent for choirs of all sizes, from festival to chamber groups.
Composer: Edwin Fissinger
Dr. Dickau's works have already become festival favorites, and this one follows right in step. Provided both in Latin and English versions, this classic text is given a fresh face in contemporary choral colors reminiscent of the 20th century madrigal style.
Composer: David C. Dickau
Jonathan Talberg's choral series has produced a library of excellence for the advanced a cappella choir, and this latest entry is a beauty. Richard Burchard tends to write in a density that is thick and rich, yet this composition has an openness that feels new and equally satisfying.
