Written for the honor choirs of southeast Minnesota, this is a joyful and dignified piece. The poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay expresses an appreciation for life, for its simple pleasures of nature and civilization. Dickau's writing provides a distinctive piano part and intriguing vocal writing, for which he is well-known. The spirit of the piece is upbeat, positive and fine craftsmanship. An excellent festival and concert piece. Medium in difficulty.
Composer: David Dickau
When Ken Berg's first Solfege Suite for 2-part voices appeared a few years ago, the response was unprecedented. Now the first set of three songs (Galop, March and Bolero) has been revoiced for SAB (middle school) choir and offers the same opportunities for learning the do-re-mi's that doubles as a concert piece.

This is a modern day spiritual. The SATB voicing has been one of the best-selling pieces for many years. Now Brian Tate has given us an SAB edition, perfect for middle school choirs and small choirs. The words are reassuring and positive and tune simply rolls as easy as a gentle wave. Easy.

Here is a cheerful song that celebrates life in metaphor with the seasons. The melodies are logical and cascade easily in canon. Decorated by an optional flute obbligato and simple parts for mallet instruments, this is easily a learning song as well as a concert selection. Easy for middle school choirs.
Composer: Ellen Foncannon
The message is so positive, so healthy, and the music just carries it effortlessly. Never has Shakespeare's words been set more simply and truthfully. An excellent spring concert selection for high school voices. Easy.
