There's a certain sense of frustration, yet hopefulness in this song. If only we could find the right melody, the right drum beat, to invent a song to end all war. What notes? What lyrics? Sing this simple ballad with sincerity and an open heart; sing as though your words can make a difference.
Composer: David L. Brunner
The world is sustained by three things: by truth, by justice, and by peace. The elegant and timely message conveyed by this beautiful work is now available for SATB chorus and piano. The vocal lines are satisfying to sing and the piano accompaniment substantial without overpowering the voices. Available separately: SATB, 2-Part. Duration: ca. 4:00.
Arranger: Allan E. Naplan
Commissioned for the 2005 Hillsborough Fine Arts Festival, this piece was based on a poem from the Hunger Committee, Diocese of Huron. Simple and direct, it can be performed both in concert and worship. With piano.

Bowling Green was recorded in the 1940's by Cousin Emmy. Page's simple arrangement is in a higher key and, in the folk tradition, has changes to the rhythm. Suggested instrumentation for accompaniment for this piece (combination of any of these instruments): banjo, mandolin, guitar, fiddle, dobro, and bass.

A fun pairing of two songs that describe life from the eagle's eye. One Day I'll Soar imagines thoughts of a baby eagle rhythmically pecking its way out of its shell with a quiet peck-a-peck-peck. I Am Eagle describes the majestic eagle in flight, soaring and diving across the horizon.
Arranger: Carolyn Jennings
Evocative of a very simple idea of home, this melody should be sung with gentle lyricism, as if borne on the breeze. For two-part treble voices and piano. Duration: ca. 3:20.
Arranger: David L. Brunner | Musical: The Wiz
This expressive work for treble chorus paints a beautiful picture of the world at sunrise, with the quiet intensity of imparting a great secret. Mystery enters when the narrator begins to wonder how the sun set. Keep the intensity of sharing a secret throughout this beautiful imagery. Duration: ca. 2:02.

Just as a lively gospel song inspires spirit through upbeat tempos, rousing shout choruses and high-lying vocal tessituras, Shiru (Hebrew for sing) accomplishes much of this same musical enthusiasm. Shiru is filled with natural syncopations, flowing harmonic lines and even the aforementioned shout chorus, all of which clearly illustrate the poetry's enthusiasm for all the earth to sing a new song!
Arranger: Allan E. Naplan
This beautiful text tells a lovely story of a simple snowfall. Imagine the glow of the moon permeating the darkness of a chilly winter evening. From beginning to end, this is winter's invitation to our imaginations. This setting of the beautiful melody by Smetena from The Moldau is a treasure for treble voices.
Arranger: Catherine DeLanoy
Commissioned by the George Kennedy Public School in Ontario, The Bees is a playful song that effectively uses pitch to create the idea of bees buzzing. Melody, text, and accompaniment work together in a fun piece that younger choirs will love to sing! Avaiaable: 2-Part. Duration: ca. 2:15.
Arranger: Daniel Shaw
A memorial tribute cast in inspirational tones, evoking the Great Spirit, the union of breath, hearts, and souls, and the love that bridges Yesterday to Tomorrow. Brunner notes: Sing gently and remember our connection, one with another. With piano.
Arranger: David L. Brunner
These words can be sung as a lullaby, and deeper meaning can be found by opening oneself to the wonder of the moment, and the oneness of all things. This lyrical melody and gently unfolding harmonies should be sung expressively, with warmth.
