Darmon Meader's arrangement of Charleston Alley pays tribute to Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, as well as Charlie Barnet, while expanding the voicings, and also placing the song in a much more "SATB-friendly" key. This arrangement is a great introduction to the classic vocalese style of Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, and will work well for most medium to advanced vocal jazz groups.

Uses: Unity Sunday, General Scripture: Epheisans 4:2-7; Mark 12:30-31 Pepper Choplin is a master at capturing the traditional sounds of Americana and infusing them into his work to add just the right flavor. Circle of Love sounds like a traditional folk tune, but it is fresh and new and quite memorable. The unending nature of the circle is heard in both melody and accompaniment, and the open, unresolved final chord further emphasizes that love, like a circle, goes on and on.

Eric Lane Barnes has a very unique writing style and he has done it again with the choral, Glee! This creative a cappella gem is quite entertaining, hearkening back to the days of the glee club songs of Yale and Harvard. This work is an excellent tool to teach harmonics. Listen to the middle section that contains a sequence of ascending diminished 7th chords with lyrics announcing the definition of the word, "glee." Novel, yet eloquent in its style and performance possibilities, Glee is "gleefully" a winner for any program.
