This publication provides the Agnus Dei movement found in Mozart's "Missa brevis in G," K.49. In Mozart's time, a Missa brevis (brief Mass) was quite concise and few instruments were employed, since it was composed for use in the main worship service of the Catholic Church. Mozart originally scored the Agnus Dei of this Mass for S.A.T.B. voices with an accompaniment of strings and continuo.

Alleluia is a choral arrangement of a famous melody from the third movement of one of Mozart's best-known works, the motet Exsultate, jubilate (K. 165). The third movement was originally scored in F Major for soprano and an orchestra comprised of two oboes, two horns, strings, continuo and organ. Handel's "Awake the Trumpet's Lofty Sound" is a very energetic and joyful chorus from his oratorio Samson. The work was composed immediately after completion of the Messiah in 1741 and was first performed in London in 1743. Newburgh Hamilton's libretto used in Samson is an adaption and abridgment of John Milton's poem Samson Agonistes and some of Milton's other poems. In this edition, the original words "Awake the trumpet's lofty sound!" are followed by new words provided by the editor.
