Patrick M. Liebergen is widely published as a choral editor, arranger and composer, and is the Director of Choral Activities at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin. With music degrees from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin; the University of Wisconsin-Madison; and the University of Colorado-Boulder, Dr. Liebergen has served in a variety of positions as a leader of church and school choral groups and has appeared throughout the United States and Canada as an adjudicator and clinician. He co-authored Monograph No. 4 published by ACDA and has written articles for Choral Journal. Listed in Who's Who in America, Dr. Liebergen has won the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association Composition Competition and the anthem contest sponsored by the Twin Cities Church Musicians Association. One of his choral works was featured in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Christmas special, which aired on radio and television stations around the country. Dr. Liebergen's well-received publications, choral collections, cantatas, vocal solo collections, and numerous choral works for church and school choirs, are published by many publishers and have been performed around the world. |

Based on a French melody, this multi-purpose Christmas piece includes an optional springtime text. Learn it in December, then use it again at year-end concerts or adjudications. It's a madrigal-like number featuring an optional hand drum and flute (both included in the publication) that give it a medieval feel. Yet it's accompanied by a lilting piano. Good for mixed choirs of any age.

African Call to Peace is a jubilant song of praise that calls upon people throughout the world to join their voices in singing the message of love and peace for all. Based upon a traditional folksong from the west African nation of Senegal, it features regular syncopated rhythms, optional solo opportunities and lively call-and-response.
This publication provides the Agnus Dei movement found in Mozart's "Missa brevis in G," K.49. In Mozart's time, a Missa brevis (brief Mass) was quite concise and few instruments were employed, since it was composed for use in the main worship service of the Catholic Church. Mozart originally scored the Agnus Dei of this Mass for S.A.T.B. voices with an accompaniment of strings and continuo.

Franz Joseph Haydn's Little Organ Mass is a departure from the larger, more fully orchestrated works of the 18th century. Written to be performed in a small chapel, this meditative setting is appropriate for school or church use.Available separately: SATB. Performance Time: Approx. 2:45.
Alleluia is a choral arrangement of a famous melody from the third movement of one of Mozart's best-known works, the motet Exsultate, jubilate (K. 165). The third movement was originally scored in F Major for soprano and an orchestra comprised of two oboes, two horns, strings, continuo and organ. The editor has reduced this orchestration for keyboard and has added modern clefs as well as tempo and dynamic indications where appropriate. The source for this edition is W. A. Handel's "Awake the Trumpet's Lofty Sound" is a very energetic and joyful chorus from his oratorio Samson. The work was composed immediately after completion of the Messiah in 1741 and was first performed in London in 1743. Newburgh Hamilton's libretto used in Samson is an adaption and abridgment of John Milton's poem Samson Agonistes and some of Milton's other poems. In this edition, the original words "Awake the trumpet's lofty sound!" are followed by new words provided by the editor.

Mozart's Dies Irae has been transposed down a major second from the original. Scored originally for SATB voices with an accompaniment of basset horns (alto clarinets), bassoons, trumpets, timpani, strings, and continuo, this new edition includes a keyboard reduction of the instrumental parts as the accompaniment.
