A classic Easter hymn tune presented in a mix of 5/8 and 6/8, and duple and triple rhythms. Easier than it looks, and it sounds great! Start rehearsals slowly and build in tempo-and suddenly the singers just "feel" it. For more fun, experiment with organ registration (e.g., 8', 2' flutes) or harpsichord if available. For sure, do not overlook the separately published part for flute!
Arranger: William M. Schoenfeld
A 12-stanza text that focuses on the manifestations of Christ in the manger, in the temple, at the River Jordan, in a reading from Isaiah, when calling his disciples, and in seven additional gospel accounts. Stanzas can be selected according to season or scriptures of the day. The lively unison tune is nicely complemented by flute, cello, and piano.Ê
Composer: John Horman
Drawing on the Aaronic blessing of Numbers 6:24-25 and Christ's assertion in John 8:12 ("I am the light of the world..."), this benediction assures Christians of Jesus' enlightening presence, wherever they may be. The piano's fluid motion supports the piece to its gentle conclusion.Listen to the music and follow the score in this preview video.

"Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord" by the late David Smart, former professor of music at the Moody Bible Institute, is a piece for children's choir, keeping the vocal parts within an octave and using a keyboard part that may be played on organ or piano. The simple percussion parts provided in the score may be played on rhythm instruments, or even as hand claps.

This little piece for unison voices extols the virtue of love. It has a light swing to it, both in the melody and the independent accompaniment. An easy, but effect, descant enters on the last 12 bars. This is the kind of piece children's choirs, even older kids, tend to love.

Handel's oratorio La Resurrezione is the source for this tune. The piece has an ABA form and is great as an introduction for children to the music of the master composer-or as an option for your adult choir that might not have the agility to navigate the rapid melismas of a chorus from Messiah!
Arranger: Richard Proulx | Composer: George Frideric Handel
A sprightly Easter carol in 6/8 that calls us to "run," "sing," "dance," and "shout" on this Easter morning. The "garden" is that of Joseph of Arimathea, where the disciples find the empty tomb. The addition of flute and percussion creates a joyful Easter anthem for children's choir.Percusssion is for Tambourine and Drum.
Composer: Randall Sensmeier
In this simple, two-part piece for children's choir, Daniel Laginya has set the quintessential eucharistic theology into a simple melody that is immediately engaging for voices of all ages. This setting is perfect for young voices to lead during Communion, inviting the assembly to join in on the refrains.
Composer: Daniel Laginya
In this Richard Proulx classic, the exuberant text of Psalm 98 has been adapted by the composer and set to an equally uplifting tune! Ideal for children's voices or unison choir. An optional flute part is available.Flute part is optional
