With a call from Hollywood to be choral director of The Railroad Hour, a radio weekly starring Gordan McRae, Mr. Luboff entered a period of enormous artistic growth and accomplishment, including the scoring of many television programs and more than eighty motion pictures. He also recorded with America's most noted artists, including Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Jo Stafford, and Doris Day. In 1950, he formed Walton Music Corporation to make his works available in printed form.

Review: With the sub-title of "13 Paradoxical Pithy Paraphrases for Punaccompanied Pchoir" these very short pieces are a delight. Some of the texts are from epigrams, proverb, signboards etc. most of them however are completely manufactured nonsense. Lots of fun here.
Songlist: Something Lovely, Punctuality, Prayer, Age Before Beauty, Mother, A Fool, Two Heads, The Centipeded, My Aunt, Love, Tally Ho, Air Pollution, That's All

Perhaps the spiritual closest associated with Norman Luboff's arranging style, this is a classic across the world. Requires the fine singing of a well trained choir and an exceptional soloist. Jubilant and rhythmic with a wonderful solo that soars above the choral accompaniment.

A classic setting of the beloved lullaby, Luboff's harmonization is not difficult, but quite appealing. A piano reduction is provided for rehearsal (and could be used as support if your choir has trouble maintaining pitch at times). Consider bookending this with Luboff's arrangement of "Still, Still, Still" (W3003) for a beautiful beginning and ending to a concert or smaller group of songs.
