With a text based on Psalm 150, this a cappella anthem draws on elements from the African-American spiritual, jazz and gospel traditions. The opening four measures are contemplative but then the music shifts to upbeat and declamatory as the basses lay down an ostinato pattern upon which the tenors, altos and sopranos respectively layer their vocal riffs. This is a powerful anthem suited to open or close your concert.

This jaunty little work is on a text from William Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost, one of his earliest comedies. The tongue-in-cheek text talks of married life and the woe that comes from being unable to pursue the frolicsome fruits of spring. Keeping with the profile of the Rollo Dilworth Choral Series, this piece is designed for upper level high school singers, honors choirs and festivals.

This buoyant madrigal-like setting of the Thomas Hood text offers a wonderful opportunity for choirs to practice light and articulate singing. There is wonderful contrast between the lively passages and lyrical, legato sections making wonderful contrasts.
