Michael Dennis Browne : we are

Commissioned by the Texas Choral Director's Association, this work for men's voices to a text by Michael Dennis Browne expresses the fresh and vibrant sense of the journey of being a man in the modern world, and especially a young man in a beautiful and volatile world. Opening with a declamatory text over rhythmic motives in the piano, the work builds and unfolds in waves of sound to the final phrase, we are all sons singing. Duration: ca. 6:30.

Dominick DiOrio : You Do Not Walk Alone

Commissioned by the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington D.C., this new voicing becomes even more meaningful in turbulent times. This traditional Irish blessing speaks of those who give support in times of trial with a musical tapestry of unadorned, a cappella mixed chorus. The occasional divisi creates a sonic wash of color and overtones. Together in song, we do not walk alone.
