The Grant Gershon choral series is pleased to release a new SSAA voicing of this choral work. Gershon, director of the Los Angeles Master Chorale, seeks to champion composers of excellence from all around the world. Iryna Aleksiychuk is from Ukraine, and is a well-established composer and performer throughout Europe. We are delighted to share her craftsmanship with the American choral community. This piece, intended for advanced treble choirs, demonstrates her remarkable skill of communicating with a cappella voices. The Ukrainian text is provided phonetically for ease of learning.

The word lullaby conjures up a gentle bedtime song, and true to form, Gartan Mother's Lullaby is that and so much more. Under arranger Jaysmith's care there comes an added mystery and caress, rich with images of crickets and fog and lambs and such. Delicately written for treble chorus, appropriate for high school, college and community ensembles. Medium.
Arranger: Sarah Jaysmith
Dr. Timothy Howard from Cal State University Northridge has arranged this enchanting Appalachian folk song for SSA Treble choir. He captures the open-string character sensationally well - there is a Copland-esque quality to the entire setting. Destined to be a favorite for high school and college choirs everywhere.

This Zulu lullaby is tastefully arranged for a cappella mixed voices, as it should be. One can almost smell the grasses on the plains and feel the earth with this song. Tender and gentle, its greatest feature is how well it brings in the flavors of Africa. Easy
