"The More I See You" is a popular song composed by Harry Warren, with lyrics by Mack Gordon, and was originally sung by Dick Haymes in the 1945 film Diamond Horseshoe.
In 1966, Chris Montez released the most commercially successful and well-known recording of the song, and his version has been used many times in films, notably at the beginning of the famous club scene in Roman Polanski's Frantic, starring Harrison Ford. Various Arrangers : Classic Ballads Your jazz, show, and concert choirs will all sound fantastic singing this classic Gershwin ballad "But Not for Me". This new a cappella arrangement offers beautiful lush harmonies with a female solo feature. Closes with one of Ira's most creative lyrics: "But there's no knot for me." The expressive ballad "When I Fall in Love" has been expertly arranged for a cappella mixed voices. A classic song plus a classic setting equals a memorable performance experience for all. Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's Hawaiian-style "Over the Rainbow" has become a prevalent part of today's popular music. Performed in Glee's first season finale by Matthew Morrison and Mark Salling, the unique setting has been sung by several American Idol contestants and featured in many TV shows and movies. In this creative arrangement, a divisi choir accompanies the soloist, duet, or small group, performing a cappella or with optional piano, ukulele, or guitar. "The More I See You" - Originally released in 1945, this standard continues to touch hearts. Langford's advanced vocal jazz setting, dividing into multiple voice parts, really brings the melody and lyrics to life. Worth the rehearsal time! "Someone to Watch Over Me" - Originally written as an up-tempo number for the musical Oh Kay!, Ira convinced George that it was better as a ballad. The lush, challenging harmonies in this arrangement prove that Ira was right! Songlist: But Not for Me, When I Fall in Love, Over the Rainbow, The More I See You, Someone to Watch Over Me Various Arrangers : The Great American Songbook - Jazz A great resource of 100 classics of American songwriting arranged for piano and voice with guitar chord frames. Songlist: Love You Madly, Dancing In The Dark, All Alone, All Blues, All Or Nothing At All, The Lamp Is Low, Almost Like Being In Love, Alone Together, Along Came Betty, Lucky To Be Me, And The Angels Sing, Angel Eyes, As Time Goes By, Sweet Lorraine, Summertime, Star Eyes, Django, There Is No Greater Love, Bernie's Tune, Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea, Billie's Bounce (Bill's Bounce), Blue Moon, Bluesette, Emily, If I Had You, But Not For Me, Allen's Alley, Reunion Blues, Can't We Be Friends, Just Friends, and more Accidentals : Popular They are a vocal orchestra! That's the overwhelming impression we get when listening to the Accidentals. Where other groups may be vocal bands, the voices in the Accidentals act more as if they were sections of an orchestra, each weaving a thread into the larger tapestry of song. What is even more amazing is that each of the voices can be heard clearly and individually, even on those rare moments when more than two members are creating a chorus! All in all they sing some of the most complex arrangements in all of acappelladom. Now how about the tunes? We are treated to a sense of the complexities of life itself in a new composition by Dennis Deal, "The Horizon." There are a couple musical doffs of the cap to their hometown, New York City. But wait, turn up the volume and be prepared to be blown away by a marvelous arrangement of "Eli's Comin'" which infuses a brand new spirit into a tune which was becoming a cliche. Humor...did we mention the great sense of humor. It's pretty sophisticated stuff for although there are verbal jibes at reality which are a crack-up, the music itself is a co-conspirator to making one slide from chuckles to guffaws. Try "Beatnik" for a musical joke extroadinaire in which the singer's biography goes from too cool to...no no no we won't give it away. On another tune you will discover for yourself the context of the phrase, "...pucker up sucker and kiss the world goodbye!" You'll laugh, you'll cry, it's beautiful, it's funny, you'll be beguiled by one of the best a cappella albums of the new millennium! Songlist: The Horizon, Autumn In New York, Eli's Comin', Beatnick, City of Angels, I Love New York, The More I See You, Never Never Land, Somebody's Out There, Eleanor Rigby, Loves Me Like A Rock, Where or When Forefront : Forefront First formed in August of 2009, Forefront has quickly become one of the Barbershop Harmony Society's most sought-after quartets, placing 13th in International competitions in 2010, 6th in 2011, and 7th in 2012.
