An upbeat, charming, though lesser known carol, this is a very flexible arrangement. It can be sung by a quartet or a chorus, a cappella or accompanied - an optional piano or harp accompaniment appears in the score; the arranger offers many suggestions for adding instrumental color to the piece; and both an English text and the original French text are included.
Composer: Drew Collins
This joyful arrangement of People, Look East uniquely highlights each verse with changes in tone, timbre, and texture. The organ and choir work in a symbiotic fashion to bring forth varied harmonies, colors, and sounds that the text evokes. A wonderfully festive Advent piece for SAB voices - particularly great for smaller choirs.
