"I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm" is a popular song written in 1937 by Irving Berlin. It was introduced in the musical film On the Avenue (1937) by Dick Powell and Alice Faye. Les Brown's instrumental version, arranged by Skip Martin and recorded in 1946 as Columbia #38324, became a million-seller and Billboard top ten song in 1949. That same year vocal group The Mills Brothers also had a chart hit with their version on Decca #24550.
Although not strictly a Christmas song as the lyrics make no mention of the holiday, the tune has been recorded for many artists' Christmas albums and is a standard part of the holiday song repertoire in the U.S.

Formerly known as the "Sentimentalists," they sang with Tommy Dorsey and had several chart hits. What sets them apart as special is their ability to mimic instruments with uncanny accuracy, such as on "Sugar Blues," where they capture every nuance of the trumpet sound, muted and open. The "Salute" album gave the sisters the opportunity to select their favorite numbers from groups such as the Mills Bros. ("Paper Doll"), the McGuire Sisters ("Sugartime"), the Pied Pipers ("Dream") and the Modernaires ("I've Got A Girl In Kalamazoo"), among many others. Listen to them cut loose on "Bei Mir Bist Du Schon," where they trade licks with the band! Songlist: My Blue Heaven, Until The Real Thing Comes Along, Bei Mir Bist Du Schon, Paper Doll, I'll Get By, I've Got A Gal In Kalamazoo, Dream, Sugartime, I'm Getting Sentimental Over You, Undecided, I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles, When I Take My Sugar To Tea, St. Louis Blues March, Hot Toddy, Song Of India, I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm, I Can't Get Started, Trumpet Blues, In The Mood, When Day Is Done, The Mole, Take the 'A' Train, Sugar Blues, One O'Clock Jump Fred : Get Happy They're Back! Get the wimmin and chillun off the streets. Gather them by the old CD player and enjoy! They alternate between simply beautiful songs and humor which frequently takes one by surprise because the singing is so good just before they go off the deep end. There are a couple of updated old Smothers Brothers gags, "Streets of Laredo" and "I Never Will Marry." There are a couple of wacky intros to otherwise wonderful songs. They spooflicate Steven Foster unmercifully in an verbal introduction and then sing a beautiful "Old Folks At Home." A melodic "I Don't Know Why" starts so beautifully and then...the vocal horns... Songlist: I've Got Rhythm, Just the Way YouLook Tonight, The Streets of Laredo, Muskrat Ramble, Ya Gotta Know How to Dance Medley, Love's Old Sweet Song, I Never Will Marry, I Can't GiveYou Anything But Love/ LOVE Medley, I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm, Old Folks at Home, Please Kind Sir, I Don't Know Why, Jungle Book Medley, Get Happy Mills Brothers : 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection We wish all history sounded this good! The Mills Bros. started singing together in 1925, combining barbershop harmony with the jaunty rythms of the swing era. It was a sweet combination that led to a 70 year career! From 1942's "Paper Doll" to their 1968 rendition of "Cab Driver", these harmonious gentlemen had a string of top-40 hits and enjoyed enormous popularity. Warning for purists: all the songs are accompinied to some degree, usually lighty. But don't miss this CD because of that -these guys are under the directory under "debonair". Every song is a treat "Lazy River", "You Always Hurt the One You Love", "'Till Then,"I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm", "Someday", their marvelous hit "Glow Worm", "Standing on the Corner", and "Be My Life's Companion." Classic! Songlist: Paper Doll, Lazy River, You Always Hurt the One You Love, Till Then, Across the Alley from the Alamo, I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm, Someday (You'll Want Me to Want You), Nevertheless (I'm In Love With You), Be My Life's Companion, The Glow Worm, Standing On the Corner, Cab Driver Mills Brothers : Paper Doll The four Mills Brothers had a style that combined the best elements of vaudeville, Negro minstrelsy and the barbershop quartet with elements of the new jazz sound. Their habit of cupping their hands over their mouths to create an orchestral sound (similar to effects created by Europe's Comedy Harmonists), was a sensational factor in their success story, and appearances on popular radio programs like "Rudy Vallee's Fleishmann's Yeast Hour" led to their first million-selling record, "Tiger Rag/Nobody's Sweetheart" in 1931. The Brothers endeared themselves to movie audiences the world over with appearances on such hits as "Big Broadcast of 1932" with Bing Crosby, Kate Smith, Cab Calloway and the Boswell Sisters. Included here are 23 lightly accompanied songs, some of our favorites: "You Rascal, You," "Dinah" and "Shine" with Bing Crosby, "Carry Me Back to Old Virginny" and "In The Shade of the Old Apple Tree" with Louis Armstrong, "How'm I Doin', Hey, Hey?," "Lazy River" and the title tune. This is classic, understated, tongue-in-cheek-funny stuff, the quintessence of jazzy, bluesy flapper/speakeasy cool. Too much good stuff! Highly recommended. Songlist: Lazy River, You Always Hurt the One You Love, Paper Doll, I've Got My Love To keep Me Warm, Glow Worm, Till Me Meet Again, If I Had My way, On The Banks of the Wabash, When You Were Sweet Sixteen, Daddy's Little Girl Mills Brothers : Original & Greatest Hits The four Mills Brothers had a style that combined the best elements of vaudeville, Negro minstrelsy and the barbershop quartet with elements of the new jazz sound. Among these 22 mostly piano-accompanied tunes are some wonderful gems, including Stephen Paulus' title tune," Benjamin Britten's "A New Year Carol" and the very funny "My True Love Gave to Me" by Fresca; Janet Gardner's "Morning" and "Jazzy St. Nick" by Amabile; Amy F. Clooney recorded her first single, "Come On-a My House," in 1951. It was an immediate and enormous success and catapulted Rosemary to stardom. Her horizons soon expanded to include motion pictures, including the classic "White Christmas" in 1954. In 1956-1957 "The Rosemary Clooney Show" joined CBS television's weekly variety show lineup. Clooney also gave birth to five children, Miguel, Maria, Gabriel, Monsita, and Rafael, between February 1955 and March 1960.
