Close Harmony For Men : Hello Mary Lou - Parts CD

"Hello Mary Lou" was written by Gene Pitney, and performed by Ricky Nelson in 1961. It has been recorded by many groups including Led Zeppelin and Queen. The style of this arrangement is similar to the best-known version by Ricky Nelson. The song should have a moderate duple meter feeling, like an easy country two-step. On the second verse, be sure to feature the lead voice in the musical texture. At measure 41 allow the tenor to join the lead feature. Keep the tempo steady all the way through to the tag, but feel free to hod the last chord as long as you want for a strong ending. The CD features part-predominant tracks, sung with lyrics.

Songlist: Hello Mary Lou, Part-predominant CD, Full Performance, Tenor, Lead, Baritone, Bass

Dealer's Choice : Anthology Vol 4 : 1 CD

Dealer's Choice : Anthology Vol 4

A different line-up than that of the previous recording-Brian Beck and Greg Clancy assuming the positions of Al Kvanli and Greg Lyne-Volume Four nonetheless reflects the same fine close harmony that made Dealer's Choice consistently popular, even today. Leading off with a crowd-pleasing Beach Boys medley, the Dealers segue into "If You Could Read My Mind," the 'seventies pop hit, the arrangement of which is entirely original and a barbershop how-to manual of stylistic conversion. A recommended selection for any fan of the genre, but Dealer's Choice enthusiasts will want all four volumes.

Songlist: Beach Boys Medley, If You Could Read My Mind, Hello Mary Lou, Brian's Song, I'm Looking At The World Through Rose Colored Glasses, Where Is Love?, I Don't Know Why I Love You Like I Do, You'll Never Know, Mr. Piano Man, Like The First Tme

Gotcha! : Right Now! : 1 CD

Gotcha! : Right Now!

Gotcha represents the next generation of barbershop, placing twelfth in the 1999 Championships in Anaheim. Hailing from Southern California, these fresh-faced lads are known for their intense live performances, galvanizing audiences with their bold and energetic delivery. Their repertoire is strong on barbershop stalwarts such as "For Me and My Gal," "My Honey's Lovin' Arms" and "Jazz Me Blues." The four obviously relish an opportunity for heavy lifting, deploying all their tools of the trade with challenging tags on songs such as "Anytime Medley" and "Hello Mary Lou," the latter arranged by David Wright, musical director and arranger for Ambiance. Indeed, the company that Gotcha is keeping indicates a fine barbershop sensibility, and a connoisseur's taste - listen to their performance of Boston Common's "I'm Sitting On Top Of The World."

Songlist: Jazz Me Blues, Gotta Be on My Way, There Goes My Heart, Anything / I Can't Give You Anything But Love Medley, Hello Mary Lou, Royal Garden BLues, I'll Always Be Mother's Boy, Twelve Days After Christmas, For Me and My Gal, Drifting, My Honey's Loving Arms, I'm Sitting on Top of the World, What'll I Do, Don't Beat the Heart that Loves You, Swing Down Chariot
