Songlist: I Have a Dream, Mamma Mia!, Thank You for the Music, Dancing Queen ABBA : Pro Vocal Series - Women's Edition ABBA gained international popularity employing catchy song hooks, simple lyrics, and a Wall of Sound achieved by overdubbing the female singers' voices in multiple harmonies. As their popularity grew, they were sought after to tour Europe, Australia, and North America, drawing crowds of ardent fans, notably in Australia. Touring became a contentious issue, being particularly unpopular with Faltskog, but they continued to release studio albums to great commercial success. At the height of their popularity, however, both marriages of the band members failed, and the relationship changes were reflected in their music, as they produced more thoughtful lyrics with different compositions. They remain a fixture of radio playlists and are one of the world's best selling bands, having sold over 370 million records world wide; they still sell two to four million records a year. This Pro Vocal series contains the lyrics, melody, and chord symbols for eight of their hit songs. The CD contains demos for listening, and then separate backing tracks so you can sing along. The CD is playable on any CD, but it is also enhanced for PC and Mac computer users so you can adjust the recording to any pitch without changing the tempo! Perfect for home rehearsal, parties, auditions, corporate events, and gigs without a backup band. Or for singing just for the fun of it! On this, their new recording, they will certainly add to their legion of fans. The opening cut, "Web Surfin'", complete with So Cal surfer boy background vocals and handclaps, parodies the cybergeek (Fleet Street, who attend Stanford, have no compunction whatsoever at lampooning themselves at every opportunity). Fleet Street's performance is high energy and full of enthusiasm-any group that does an a cappella rendition of The Rocky Horror Picture Show's "Time Warp" (featuring Dr. Frankfurter's signature leering delivery) goes to the head of class, in our opinion. However, Fleet Street is not only about sardonic humor. Their arrangement of "Greensleeves" is restrained and accomplished, allowing the beauty of the song to take center stage. They also treat us to Abba's "Dancing Queen," and while a few of the high notes don't quite clear the bar, we give them kudos for the attempt. We are pleased to offer "All the Rage" as a worthy addition to your collegiate a cappella collection. Songlist: Stanford Fleet Street Singers: All the Rage, Come a Little Bit Closer, Greensleeves, The Real Genius, Deep In the Jungle, The Time Warp, How Deep Is Your Love?, All the Rage, Daughter of Darkness, Dancing Queen, Joyful, Joyful Growing Girls : Thank You For The Music The Growing Girls, 1989 Queens of Harmony, are from Ronninge, Sweden. First competing in International in 1988, where they placed sixth, they bounced into the top spot the following year! This 1999 release (though the songs were recorded in 1991 and 1995), takes a swipe at the pop oldies chart with Abba's "Dancing Queen," and the Beatles "With A Little Help From My Friends." Two arrangements are in their native tongue, with the balance divided between SAI stalwarts such as "Birth Of The Blues" and "That Old Quartet Of Mine," and standards such as an Andrew Sisters medley. Their blend is polished and warm, and their delivery is natural and unfazed. "Undecided" is a particularly engaging arrangement with all the "bells and whistles"! Songlist: They Didn't Believe Me, Andrew Sisters Medley, Arvid, Birth of the Blues, Undecided, Jag nu den Parlan Funnit Har, Dancing Queen, That Old Quartet Of Mine, Let's Call The Whole Thing Off, Thank You For The Music, With A Little Help From My Friends Rajaton : Sings Abba What a great idea! Rajaton is one of Finland's most highly regarded vocal ensembles and it's only natural that they should want to sing the repertoire of the biggest musical group to ever come out of the region. ABBA songs are well suited for interpretations by vocal groups and the collaboration with the world-class Lahti Symphony Orchestra really pays dividends. Perennial favorites such as "Dancing Queen", "Waterloo" and "Mama Mia" are given a fresh treatment and these and other ABBA songs are already showing their timelessness and enduring charm. A Scandinavian treat! Songlist: Dancing Queen, Chiquitita, Money, Money, Money, One Of Us, Voulez - Vous, Does Your Mother Know, Head Over Heels, Mamma Mia!, Gimme Gimme Gimme, The Winner Takes It All, Thank You For The Music, Fernando, Waterloo The Real Group : Varfor Far Man Inte Bara Vara Som Man Ar? Again, we are behind in our Swedish lessons and must rely on our ears and hearts to enjoy this 1994 release. Do you realize that it's been ten years since the Real Group got together! It seems like only yesterday. Their horizons are continually expanding. That title track is rock 'n roll or my name isn't This Reviewer. Hey who slipped in the piano on that one track? That sounds suspiciously like Maurice Chevalier. Familiar to our ears are "Dancing Queen." The total scat and bass rendition of "The Flight Of The Foo-Birds" is extra special! "Boogie-Woogie Tango" in Swedish? Yes, right here! Songlist: Monicas Vals, Varfor Far Man inte Bara Vara Som Man Ar?, Vanta Och Se, I En Tavla Utav Zorn, Underbart Ar Kort I, Underbart Ar Kort II, Flight of the Foo-Birds, Sa Skimrande Var Aldrig Havet, Sommar Och Vinter, Den Flinska Klochan, Ensam Hemma, Boogie Woogie Tango, Du Ar Det Vackra Jag Ser I Mitt Liv, Dancing Queen The Real Group : Best Of - (Allt Det Basta) Well what can be say about a Best Of CD from quite possibly the best a cappella group in the world? How about Wow! Amazing! Incredible! We could go on but suffice to say this is a must have a cappella CD for any fan of unaccompanied vocal harmony. With twenty tracks this is long, sublime listening experience that fully covers the breath and depth of this fabulous Swedish quintet. There are four new tracks including an Anders Edenroth arrangement of "Man e Man" and a touch of Spain in the closing audience favorite "Granada". Plus, to add to the joy, there are two brand new arrangements of the now classic "Chile con Carne" and the divine, entrancing "Li'l Darlin'" The Real Group is the best selling artist in the Primarily A Cappella catalog and we very quickly expect this to to become our best selling CD ever. We hate to be pushy, (honest) but you really, really should Buy This CD! Songlist: Chili Con carne, Substitute For Life, Dancing Queen, Li'l Darlin', Flight of the Foo Birds, Commonly Unique, Kristallen den fine, Alla Talar Med Varandra, A Cappella i Acapulco, Att Angora en Brygga, Varfor far man inte bara vara som man ar?, Cage Of Promises, En Sommer, Man e Man, Vem kan Segla.., Ett Liv for Mig, Lift Me Up, Telephone Talking, Underbart ar Kort, Granada The Real Group : Get Real A Korean import, this CD is similar to the Real Group's earlier release, 'Unreal,' with a few very exciting differences. If you've ever looked at their sheet music collection published by 'Walton,' you may have stumbled upon a song called 'How Come Its So Hard To Be The Way You Are?' If you've listened to a decent amount of their Swedish repertoire, you would have learned that the song is actually the English version of 'Varfor Far Man Inte Bara Vara Som Man Ar?' But where can you find the English version of this song? Look no further, its on 'Get Real.' A few other new highlights to this CD are a studio version of 'Strawberry Fields Forever,' their award-winning cover of 'Dancing Queen,' and you'll get to hear English lyrics added to 'For The One I Love.' All three of these additional tracks show off the group's virtuoso ability to create a vocal accompaniment that you will swear sounds more like other instruments rather than the human voice! While you may have heard many of the tracks on this CD before, this is a must have for all Real Group fans worldwide! Songlist: A Cappella in Acapulco, A Child is Born, Dancing Queen, Wait and See, How Come It Is So Hard To Be The Way You Are, What Are You Doing for the Rest of Your Life?, For the One I Love, Flight of the Foo-Brids, Love Is Meant For Everybody, Come Together, Strawberry Fields Forever, It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing), Kristallen Den Fina Lingonberries : ABBsolut Berries ABBsolut Berries is a unique, high-energy musical show by Swedish-Canadian a cappella quartet The Ligonberries. The group performs four-part arrangements of popular ABBA songs like Dancing Queen, Waterloo and Mamma Mia in front of an enthusiastic live audience. The unique four-part arrangements captures the complex instrumentation of ABBA's original recordings. Songlist: Super Trouper, Waterloo, Lay All Your Love, Knowing Me, Knowing You, Under Attack, Mamma Mia!, Does Your Mother Know, Money, Money, Money, One Of Us, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, S.O.S, Dancing Queen, Thank You For The Music, Varmlandsvisan Sweet Adelines : Top Choruses 2011 It was another great year of top notch harmony singing at the International Competition held this year in Houston. The Melodeers took the gold, Ronninge Chorus (from Sweden) was second and Lions Gate Chorus (from Canada) won bronze. Songlist: Once Upon a Time, Bg Bad Bill, At Last, Toot, Toot, Tootsie, When You Wish Upon A Star, Powder Yourself With Sunshine, Superstition, The Wonder Tag, Boy From New York City, Deed I Do, Time After Time, Dancing Queen, Oh, How I Miss You Tonight, Cry Baby Intro;, Oh, You Beautiful Doll, Nothing Can Stop Us Now, Gotta Know How To Dance, If I Had My Way, I Wanna Be A Star, A Bundle Of Old Love Letters, Holding Out For A Hero, A Piece of Sky, Great Day, If We Can't BeThe Same Old Sweethearts, I Love Jazz, Testify To Love, Hard-Hearted Hannah, The Way You Look Tonight, When The Red, Red Robin Goes Bob Bobbin' Along, When I Fall In Love, and more Teena Chinn : Disco Survives! They include: "Boogie Fever," "Dancing Queen," "How Deep Is Your Love," "Stayin' Alive," "More Than a Woman," "I Will Survive," and "We Are Family." Fun for your singers and audiences!
