This beloved benediction from Numbers 6:24-26 is offered in an artful and accessible setting with expressive phrases and a fresh contemporary harmonization that will enhance the close of any concert or worship service. Duration: ca. 1:30.
Composer: Martha Sullivan
Through attractive simplicity and a beautiful line, this brief setting of the Aaronic blessing is a great alternative to other, older settings of the text-especially when the total number of tenor-bass singers in your choir is considerably less than that of the sopranos and altos. The two parts sing in octaves mostly, with just a hint of a canon in the final measures.
Composer: Carlton R. Young
Careful editorial suggestions breathe new life into this familiar choral gem that should be a part of every choir's repertoire. The setting most often serves as a choral benediction at the end of a service but could also find a home in services of thanksgiving and peace.
Composer: Peter C. Lutkin
