Written with the Young Voices Toronto, these students wanted to express the need to find a collective voice, to bring light to their concern for so much division in society, and to give a voice to those that are not heard. They felt it was their duty, as responsible global citizens, to not be silent. A QR code is included with the music which takes you to a video showing sign language for this song--increasing the reach of this powerful message.

Children love to sing about nature--trees, birds, flowers, sunshine and the moon! Plaintive text, directly from the imaginations of kids, is partnered with a laid-back piano and drum groove in this cheerful and conversational work aimed squarely at the youthful nature living in each one of us.

As we think about what the world needs following a pandemic and BLM and isolation and remote learning e realize that what we all need is people to stop and listen to one another. Really listen. The young people who worked with the composer on this project understand this better than most. This is truly a song for our times.

Conceived as a way to honor the bravery of military men and women as well as honoring those in everyone's lives whose hard work, achievements and sacrifices inspire us daily. The songwriters were especially inspired by The Independence Fund a remarkable organization working to move severely injured American military veterans toward greater independent mobility.

Written in a songwriting workshop with the GenOUT Summer Camp by singers from the GenOUT youth Chorus and Nashville's TN's Major Minors. The mission of these two choirs, along with seven others from the US is to give young LGBTQ+ and allied youth a voice, and to connect that voice to community. This important music gives evolving young people a forum to write their own story.
