Review: This collection of songs and arrangements of folk tunes provides an excellent source of a cappella contest literature for the developing choir. Quality texts, careful attention to range and tessitura, along with thoughtful limits on melodic and harmonic complexity make these settings an ideal choice. Songs include: Gloria!; My True Love Hath My Heart; Sail Away, Ladies; Shenandoah; Teach Me, O Lord; Where Go the Boats?. For the Demonstration and Part Dominant Tracks: Audio is accessed online using the unique code generated upon purchase and can be streamed or downloaded. Review: A short, simple setting of a poem by Julia Darling which builds to a climax to the words we all matter. Originally composed for youth singers and first performed at BBC Proms concert from Sage Gateshead, the piece is also suitable for choirs where a limited number of male singers are available.
Review: Composed for the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey, London, on 19 September 2022, Like as the hart is a setting of verses from Psalm 42 for four-part choir with occasional divisi. The words and music speak at first of the soul's great sadness and thirst for reassurance; but as the psalm progresses, the mood becomes calmer and more resolved, culminating in consolation, with the words Put thy trust in God.
Songlist: Like As The Hart

It was a year and a half in the making, and was conceived during the dark months of Covid lockdown in the spring of 2020 when, for the first time in long history of the English Choral Tradition, choirs fell silent.
