Cameron F. LaBarr is director of choral studies at Missouri State University where he leads a comprehensive choral program including over 250 singers in eight choirs. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Missouri State University and he earned a Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of North Texas. He has completed further study in choral music and conducting with Simon Carrington and Alice Parker

Whisper of the Dance was written as a response to William Averitt's choral song cycle, Deepness of the Blue. The deeply artistic poetry by Robert Bode is an homage to the great Langston Hughes. For four-hand piano and mixed voices, this is an advanced work for collegiate, community, and professional choirs. Incredibly effective and will make a great closer.
