The Monotones were a six-member American doo-wop vocal group in the 1950s. They are considered a one-hit wonder, as their only hit single was "The Book of Love", which peaked at #5 on the Billboard Top 100 in 1958.

Would you believe this '50s hit was inspired by a toothpaste commercial? It's a terrific male parody on "how to keep your girl" put in an a cappella "street-style" setting.
Arranger: Ed Lojeski | Composers: Warren Davis and George Malone and Charles Patrick. Performed By: The Monotones
