Jacob Narverud : In My Blood This Shawn Mendes GRAMMYae Award-nominated song is superbly set for mixed voices as well as for men's choirs. Shawn wrote the song expressing his own struggle with anxiety. His positive, self-affirming lyrics express that Sometimes I feel like giving up, but I just can't. It isn't in my blood. Jacob Narverud : Speechless Featuring an all-star songwriting match made in heaven, Alan Menken sets new lyrics by Broadway sensations Pasek & Paul into a poetic, powerful and long-overdue showcase for Princess Jasmine in the 2019 live-action film adaptation of Aladdin. Sung by Naomi Scott in the movie, this rousing arrangement will leave you breathless! Jacob Narverud : Pompeii A hit in the USA by British rock band Bastille, this song is about the Roman town of the same name, which met its fate with the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Vocal rhythms and harmonies, bass, percussion and supportive, yet optional piano, recreate this pop tune into a choral masterpiece. Jacob Narverud : Dust in the Wind 1978's hit from the rock band Kansas, with its melancholy melody and philosophical lyrics, is hauntingly arranged here for men's voices, including parts for bass guitar and string quartet. A stunning pop selection that allows your male choir or ensemble to sing beautifully in concert form. Jacob Narverud : I Lived With an uplifting and universal message, this favored tune of carpe diem was recorded by OneRepublic on their album Native and has become an anthem of hope and empowerment. The arrangement stays true to the original song and allows choirs to rock out while singing meaningful lyrics. Jacob Narverud : Another Day of Sun Here's the optimistic opening number from. Who can forget those boisterous singing and dancing motorists on L.A.'s jammed 110 freeway at the start of the 2016 box office smash? This dynamic arrangement captures the excitement of the score with rhythmic drive, varied choral textures, and a rousing accompaniment. A perfect opener or closer, and a golden opportunity for choreography! Jacob Narverud : Jitterbug Although it was cut from the original 1939 film, this number from The Wizard of Oz is an energetic, swinging romp through one of the prominent dance crazes of the time period, and appears in many contemporary productions of the show. Rhythmic syncopation and chromatic jazz harmonies create a toe-tappin', finger-snappin' sensation that just begs for choreography! Jacob Narverud : Another Day of Sun Here's the optimistic opening number from La La Land. Jacob Narverud : For Forever For those who are lonely and without real friends, sometimes an imaginary friend can really be important. In the mega Broadway hit Dear Evan Hansen, Evan fabricates a detailed story of a friendship with Connor that never existed. This intricate tale is told with passion and heartfelt emotions and results in comfort for the friends and family of Connor. Here is an incredible opportunity for your singers to reach deep into their emotional reserves and create this powerful story. Jacob Narverud : Men in Tights This Mel Brooks tune from the movie Robin Hood: Men In Tights is arranged now for TBB voices and is hilarious! Full of manly comedy, style, and masculine punch (literally!), your men's performance will bring the house down and be remembered for a very long time. OneRepublic : Run Ryan Tedder, the lead vocalist for the pop rock band OneRepublic, has made a living out of being a musician, TV personality, songwriter, and record producer for some of the hottest names in popular music. This energetic, propulsive song directly mirrors Ryan's thirst for the hustle and the never-ending search for optimism and drive in unprecedented times. |
