Don Besig taught public school music for 31 years in western New York. His concert choral groups and show choirs earned excellent reputations for their performances at clinics, contests and community events. His teaching experience includes work at all levels. He is currently director of music at Perinton Presbyterian Church in Fairport, NY. Recognizing a need for choral music written especially for student singers and volunteer church choirs, Mr. Besig began composing for his own choral groups. Over 350 of his original compositions and arrangements have been released by leading publishers of school and church music. More than 15 million copies of his works have been sold. He is the recipient of several ASCAP Special Awards in the category of standard music. |

Don Besig : Just One Small Voice Let every voice be heard with this original ballad that shows the power that our combined voices can achieve! Opening with an optional solo and a simple message, the song gradually builds to a fully harmonized refrain. An excellent selection for younger choirs as a concert closer or mass choir finale. Available separately: 3-Part Mixed, 2-Part, VoiceTrax CD. Duration: ca. 3:40. Don Besig and Nancy Price : That Dixieland Sound (When the Saints Go Marching In) Don Besig and Nancy Price give us not one, but two new partner songs for 'When The Saints Go Marching In.' The all-purpose 3-part voicing is ideal for any group from middle school through senior high. Add the SoundTrax cassette for a razz-a-ma-tazz, 'New Orleans' style accompaniment. Don Besig and Nancy Price : Alexander's Ragtime Band What a combination! Irving Berlin's classic song with a new partner-melody by Don Besig and Nancy Price. A real winner for 2-part choirs. The optional SoundTrax CD adds a true ragtime sound. Songlist: Thankful, A Banana Split, Grandma's Pretty Good Chicken Pot Pie, Let's Eat!, The Fast Food Tango, We Love Pizza, What's Cookin'? Don Besig and Nancy Price : I Love a Piano Don Besig and Nancy Price have done it again! It's a partner song with one of Irving Berlin's all-time favorites: "I Love a Piano". Don and Nancy's clever text fits perfectly with their bouncy new melody, and both complement the original tune. The piano accompaniment calls for two players at one piano. Or use the SoundTrax cassette which features a ragtime piano and banjo feel. Don Besig and Nancy Price : Regards to Broadway! A spirited and fun-filled partner song in vaudeville style arranged with new music by Don Besig and new lyrics by Nancy Price. The great new partner melody is fun to sing and easy to learn. Add some pizzazz with the exceptional SoundTrax cassette or grab your hats and canes and add some staging or movement. |
