We Are Santa's Elves" is a song written for the Rankin/Bass Christmas television special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It is sung by the elves for Santa Claus, who utterly hates it, while Mrs. Claus enjoys it.
In later rebroadcasts of the special on CBS, the song was trimmed to cut out the instrumental bridge and most of the lyrics following it (the song is unedited in Freeform's broadcasts of the special). At some point in the 1970s, the sequence featuring the song was cut entirely before being reinstated a few years later.

Made popular on the holiday television special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, this Johnny Marks song is a bright new work for young voices and includes optional kazoos for added fun. Simple, repetitious part-writing makes this quick to learn and easy to add staging, movement, and costumes.
