Celest Clydesdale : Jailhouse Rock! - Choral Book Jailhouse Rock!, an upbeat musical from Celeste Clydesdale, teaches children about our freedom in Christ as believers. The musical opens as the children embark on a fun week of hiking and swimming at Camp Koinonia. But much to their disappointment, when they arrive a torrential downpour leaves them "jailed up" in the mess hall. While the children are inside, the Camp Director and the Junior Counselors teach them about Paul, Silas and Peter's experiences being "locked up," and how prayer and praise makes a difference. Filled the variety of music styles you expect from Celeste Clydesdale, Jailhouse Rock! is a musical kids will love as they learn that true freedom comes from being reborn in Christ. Songlist: Camp Koinonia, It's Raining! It's Pouring!, Let Us Pray, Jailhouse Rock!, Shake, Rattle and Roll, Songbird, His Eye Is on the Sparrow, Stop, Look and Listen, The Rock That Is Higher than I, I've Got the Keys Deke Sharon : Women's Classic Pop Vol 2 "Fields of Gold" - If it wasn't written by Sting, this haunting melody could easily be a traditional English fold song. The melody moves through all four women's parts, with the background texture changing in each verse, ranging from arpeggiated polyphony to warm close harmony. "Here Comes the Sun" - Perfect for a spring concert, this bright Beatles classic features rich harmonies and light arpeggiated textures resulting in a warm sound without being too complex. The melody is in the Soprano 1 line, allowing either a group or individual solo. "Mama I'm A Big Girl Now" - This playful song from Hairspray brings the sound of the early 1960's to life with a universal theme. The many verses can be sung by different soloists. "Songbird" - Based on the Eva Cassidy recording, this honest, emotional ballad features light arpeggiated textures and soaring harmonies supporting a gorgeous, heartfelt soprano melody with occasional duet/trio lines. "When I'm Sixty-Four" - Playful, sweet, melodic... this arrangement brings out all of the best elements of this Beatles ditty, with the melody bouncing between the various voices. When your singers are sixty-four, they'll still be humming along to this timeless classic! Songlist: Fields of Gold, Here Comes The Sun, Mama, I'm a Big Girl Now, Songbird, When I'm Sixty-Four Sarah Quartel : Songbook for Upper Voices The Sarah Quartel Songbook brings together a selection of the composer's best-loved pieces for upper voices, including favourites such as The Birds' Lullaby, I remember, and All the way home. Songbird sets an evocative text describing songbirds that spin tunes of gold. The catchy, colourful melody is first presented by tutti voices, and is then woven through the vocal parts, often to scat accompaniment. The setting ends with an effective passage of close imitation.
