Orlando, FL-based 3-man, 2 Women Vox Audio, formerly Toxic Audio, who jumped fro the 1998 Orlando Fringe Festival to featured Disney performers, to 2000 Harmony Sweeps Champs, were on a huge roll, and it has kept going: their "Chemistry" was named 2003 CASA Album of the Year, national tv appearances, and their off-Broadway show in NYC's Houseman Theatre won the 2004 Drama Desk Award for "Unique Theatrical Experience." Officially changing their moniker to Vox Audio with "Voice Activated, the group thanks the name in the liner notes for "13 years of faithful service, we hope you enjoy your condo in Boca!" Toxic Audio's live shows and CDs have always been hilarious, and "Voice Activated" follows suit bigtime: "I Gotta Firework," "Sound Guy," "Go to Bed Early," "I Wish I Could Go Back to College," "Quiet Time" and "Swingin' Low," which features a "Wicked Scat Solo" by Michelle, "Wicked Horn" by Paul and "Wicked Bass" by Trist Curless, are all hilarious. Great, funny stuff by one of our all time favorite a cappella groups! |
