Ruslan Bondar is originally from Ukraine. He began his musical education at the prestigious Kyiv Lysenko State Music Lyceum, a specialized secondary music school. There he studied conducting and sang in an educational boys' chorus, which participated in many concerts, took part in multiple concerts and festivals, and touredthroughout Europe and the countries of the former Soviet Union. Ruslan went on to study conducting at the P. I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, with Professor Yevhen Savchuk. During his fifth year at the Academy, he was invited to be a choirmaster and later became an artistic director of the choir - a position that laid the foundation for his professional career. After graduation from the Music Academy in 2000, he devoted himself to working with the Kyiv Student Choir of the National Technical University of Ukraine (KPI), leading the choir in performances throughout Ukraine and abroad. Under his direction, the choir developed a refined sound and diverse repertoire, gaining recognition in the national choral community. In 2024, Ruslan graduated as a Drummond Conducting Fellow with the Capitol Hill Chorale in Washington, D.C., further expanding his artistic work in the United States. He continues to bring his passion for choral music, artistic discipline, and international experience. Groups directed - Arundel Vocal Arts Society |
