Contemporary Polish choral music is accessible and interesting for both the singer and the listener. With close harmonies and a dramatic ending, this is a beautiful song that a seasoned high school or collegiate mixed ensemble will enjoy. This is the first in a series of compositions from Poland, secured and prepared by Dr. Richard Zielinski.
Composer: Powel Lukaszewski
A wall of lush, dense, and complex sound describes this 20th-century piece by Polish composer Marcin Lukaszewski from the Richard Zielinski Polish Music Series. Dr. Zielinski has found another gem from Poland that is unique and worthy of the most advanced choirs.
Arranger: Marcin Lukaaszewski
In 1972, the Morehouse College Glee Club was preparing for a historic tour of Africa. Wendell P. Whalum, the highly acclaimed educator, musicologist, arranger and director transcribed the melody of this folk song as it was sung by a native Nigerian who was a student at Morehouse College at the time. Dr. Brown has set this melody for mixed voices and optional Percussion.
Composer: Uzee Brown
Mark Hayes set the complete text of Abraham Lincoln's inspirational speech in this dramatically powerful piece. This adaptable work promises to deliver appreciative standing ovations after the final cutoff and to occupy a lasting place in your choral library.

Scott MacPhereson's edition of Mendelssohn's "Im Walde" and "Jaglied" brings these pieces that were, in the composer's words, meant "to be sung in the open air" into the concert hall. Beautifully lyrical, "Im Walde" features a simplicity of means that perfectly highlights the text, while the quick and rhythmic "Jaglied" mimics the sound of galloping horses as it illustrates a hunting scene.
Arranger: Scott MacPherson | Composer: Felix Mendelssohn
From our new series of traditional Polish music as selected and edited by Dr. Richard Zielinski, "Two Polish Wedding Songs" is a unique set of secular folk songs from Poland. Sung in Polish, these contrasting arrangements are humorous and playful. The first describes a wedding party coming to the town of Sieradzkie, and the latter uses a humorous nonsense poem which describes the joys and trickery between guests at a Polish wedding.
Composer: Wesele Sieradzkie
