The Sound, founded and produced annually by Townsend Belisle, has been Cape Cod's all-male a cappella ensemble since 1994, and is comprised of an elite group of 14 young male singers from colleges and universities across the country. They perform in backyards, weddings, fine dining establishments, stadiums and everything in between. "Cape Standard Time" has 15 finely crafted covers, some favorites are: "72 Hour Daze (Taxiride), Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me To The Moon," James Taylor's "Your Smiling Face," Otis Reddings " The Dock Of The Bay," Stephen Bishop's "On and On," Michael Jackson's "Thriller," the Blenders' arrangement of Christopher Cross' "Sailing," Sting's marvelous "Fields of Gold," and Queen's immortal "Bohemian Rhapsody." Strong, solid vocal percussion, sweet, soaring leads, hip arrangements, strong material-it adds up to an entertaining winner for Hyannis Sound! |
