Community Chorus The Zeeland Civic Chorus is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1939 for the sole purpose of presenting the renowned Christmas tradition of G.F. Handel's The Messiah. The Messiah presentation is scheduled each year early in the advent season as part of a community-wide preparation for the Christmas season. (For many years, all of the Zeeland merchants closed their businesses at six o'clock on the night of the concert so that all could attend.)
