Community Chorus

Based in Taunton, MA

The Taunton Civic Chorus is the area's longest running choral group and has been an important part of the local community since 1959. Its mission is to create a welcoming environment for those who like to sing and to enrich the community through choral performance. The 40 member ensemble is led by Music Director Matthew Haynes, and accompanied by Carolyn Melesky.

In addition to presenting annual spring and holiday concerts, the TCC performs at local events such as the Liberty and Union Festival, the Raynham Tree Lighting, and church and community gatherings.

Each year, the TCC presents a scholarship to a young person entering college who has been involved in the performing arts while in high school.

Founded - 1959.
