Female Barbershop Chorus

The Spirit of Spokane Chorus is a community-based group of women singers proud to be affiliated with Sweet Adelines International, headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sweet Adelines began in July 1945, when a group of women in Tulsa organized the first chapter. In the ensuing years women's barbershop music spread by leaps and bounds. Today, worldwide membership includes nearly 30,000 women singing in more than 600 chapters and 1200 quartets covering not only the North American Continent, but encompassing choruses in Great Britain, Holland, Sweden, Japan, and Australia, to name a few.
