Male Barbershop Chorus

Based in Leonardtown, MD

We are the Tri-County Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (formally SPEBSQSA). We are a non-profit group composed of people just like you, from our local communities who get together and enjoy singing in the classic a capella style of music known as Barbershop.

While Barbershop is most widely recognized as a quartet singing in tight, four part harmony; it is also sung in a Chorus style with each of the four parts being sung by several men at the same time. Southern Maryland Sound does indeed have a Quartet, they are known as "Three and a Half Men" and perform both with the chorus and as a traditional quartet. You can even hire them (or the whole chorus) to sing at your event, making it a day to remember
