Female Community Chorus Scottsdale Chorus claimed the title of 2011 International Champion Chorus at the Sweet Adelines International Convention and Competition held October 19 - 23, 2010 in Seattle, Washington. Director, Lori Lyford, led the chorus of 116 competing members to a record-breaking total of 3077 points in a competition that included 32 other choruses from around the world. The Scottsdale Chorus has been entertaining audiences for over 40 years. Their exuberant Director, Lori Lyford, a life-time music educator, is the choral director at Chandler High School. In the Sweet Adeline organization, Lori has earned Master Director status, shares her expertise as an International Music Faculty member and has coached choruses throughout the United States and abroad. Scottsdale Chorus : AnySwing Goes This is a collection of Swing tunes from 2006 Sweet Adelines International Chorus winners The Scottsdale Chorus, directed by Lori Lyford. We have a special place in our hearts for the Swing Era, and the Chorus truly does it justice on songs like "Singin' With The Big Bands," "Embraceable You," "In The Mood," "Rhythm Medley," "Jump Shout Boogie," Duke Ellington's "It Don't Mean A Thing," "Original Dixieland One-Step," "Lies/Times Medley," "Saxophone Man" and "Where Does the Time Go."
