Mixed Community Chorus

Based in Maywood NJ, NY

The Mission of the Chorus is to create a beautiful and inspiring culture, which brings together the communities of the New York City metropolitan area, through bel canto-based Classical music performed at the Verdi tuning of approximately C=256 Hz, and including the preservation of the African-American Spiritual as an important part of the universal cultural heritage of the United States, as well as traditional folk music of different cultures of the world, largely reflected in the diverse population of NYC.

Founded - 2014.   Non-Auditioned.

Audition Policy - There are no auditions. Selection for concerts as inclusive as possible. Hardworking beginners are welcome.

Rehearsal Information - Thursdays, 6:30-8:00 pm
