Community Chorus

Based in Saginaw, MI

With offices in the beautiful Temple Theatre Complex of the Shaheen Performing Arts Center, Saginaw Choral Society provides audiences in the Great Lakes Bay Region with performances ranging from classical masterworks to popular favorites. Subscriptions consist of three to four concert hall and several small stage events. Each season a December holiday concert is featured. The annual Member Showcase and SCS' resident men's sextet, Ah Tempo! concerts round out each season with more intimate options.

The chorus consists of 85 volunteer singers. Members from all walks of life representing counties throughout the Great Lakes Bay region rehearse Monday evenings from September through May at St. John's Episcopal Church in Saginaw. Concerts are held in the magnificent Temple Theatre in Saginaw as well as in smaller venues in the region: First United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church, St. Mary's Cathedral, Castle Museum of Saginaw County, and the State Theatre in Bay City.
