Based in Norman, OK

A passionate and compelling communicator with extensive knowledge of classical and contemporary repertoire, and a champion of new music, Zielinski has worked with numerous composers and regularly leads orchestras in performances of contemporary works. Richard is in his fourteenth year as Artistic Director of the Classical Music Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria, and was the recipient of the Gold Medal of Achievement for his artistic achievements and musical contributions in Eisenstadt. Zielinski is in his ninth season as Music and Artistic Director for the Norman Philharmonic in Oklahoma. Richard is a Professor within the School of Music at the University of Oklahoma and continues to serve as Director of Music Ministries at McFarlin Memorial UMC, Norman, OK.

His professional vocal ensemble, the Zielinski Singers, has recorded five CDs by many well-known contemporary composers. The group recently toured Poland, presenting a variety of a cappella concerts in Krakow and throughout the lower Silesian region
