Female Barbershop Chorus As a performing and competing Sweet Adelines chorus, the Rich-Tones are involved in all aspects of barbershop life. There are highly trained and talented arrangers, choreographers, and technicians in the Rich-Tone Chorus. These professionals have helped define the Rich-Tones' keenly etched identity as a cohesive group that enthusiastically embraces an American art form and transfuses it with their own brand of pizzazz.

Rich-Tone Chorus : One Of A Kind Quite possible the best women's barbershop chorus ever and winner of four Gold medals this is another fine recording from this wonderful group. Some of the great American standards such as "Sweet Georgia Brown" and "God Bless the USA" get the Dale Syverson treatment as well as the fabulous "The Rose" and the touching "I'm Alone Because I Love You" A must have for fans of the ladies barbershop sound. Maureen McGovern, whose late father James was a barbershopper in his younger days, and from the age of 5 she used to sing parts with him and his quartet. She joins the chorus beautifully on Johnny Mercer/Hoagy Carmichael's classic "Skylark" and the Gershwins' "Our Love is Here to Stay." Powerful, moving and entertaining material from one of the best Sweet Adelines choruses! "Wrapped" is a generous Christmas album, featuring three original tunes by Chorus members, "You're All I Want For Christmas," "Hush Little Children, Do," and "Christmas Shopping Blues." Included are guest appearances by Rumors, Rhythmix, Kindred Spirits, The Gina Williams Trio and The Texas Girl Choir. There are 16 tunes, familiar songs like "Sing We Noel," "Patapan," "Happy Holidays," "Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town," "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," "Feast of Lights," "Joy to the World" and "Auld Lang Syne," And lesser known ones like "Old Man's Back In Town," "Jingle Bell Jazz," "Mary Did You Know," "One Small Child" and the hilarious (if in questionable taste) "Pretty Dolly." There's a nice variety in the mix of the powerful chorus, the smaller quartets and soloists here. Some light accompaniment on a few cuts.
