Female LGBT Chorus

Founded in 1986, our culture is steeped in the lesbian community. Our membership includes people of various sexual, romantic, gender, and relationship orientations; we welcome all! Everyone is on a journey. Everyone has a story. As we get to know each other, we share those stories. We respect our likeness and celebrate our differences. We listen and speak our truth with kindness. We practice forgiveness as we learn to speak a language that serves us individually and as a whole.

The Portland Lesbian Choir builds harmony and community through compelling musical performances. We elevate LGBTQ+ voices, emphasize equity, and encourage collaboration, growth and service.

Founded - 1986.   Piano.   Non Audition.

Audition Policy - Singers must have the ability to match pitch. New singers will meet with the Director so the Director can hear pitch and range before placing potential new singer in one of the four sections (Bass, Tenor, Alto, Soprano).

Rehearsal Information - Regular attendance at rehearsals is expected and required. We meet every Wednesday from 6:45-9:00pm from September through June with the exception of a few major holidays. Our concerts are held in January and June each year and we are on a summer hiatus during July and August.
