German Chorus

Based in Oakland, CA

When it comes time to describing the fondness for singing by the German people, there is just no easy way to begin. Whenever a significant number of German speaking people gather, all one needs to do is hum a few bars of a familiar refrain, and let the German love for music take its course. German singing ranges from the familiar drinking songs to Wagnerian opera; from songs about nature to songs about love; from hearty and robust to light and soft.

Audition Policy - If you are interested in joining the choir, you can stop by the Bjornson Hall (2258 MacArthur Blvd) in Oakland some Wednesday evening. Visitors are always welcome.
