Semi-Pro A Cappella Ensemble

With tunes ranging from remixed Shabbat melodies to Israeli folk songs to jazzy originals, Honorable Menschen's unique sound has thrilled New England audiences since the group's founding in 1997. Membership consists of graduate students and young professionals from around the Boston area.

Audition Policy - Audition slots are approximately 15 minutes long, during which our music director will lead you through some informal vocal exercises and range testing. Please come prepared with a short solo (memorization is nice but not necessary) to sing a cappella to the group.

Rehearsal Information - We generally rehearse one evening a week (currently Sundays, 6:00 - 8:15 pm) and hold practice in various members’ homes. Our repertoire is a diverse mix of Jewish, Israeli, and World music and includes pieces in English, Hebrew, Ladino, Luganda, and Yiddish.
