Mixed Community Chorus

Based in Koreatown, CA

The Heart of Los Angeles Eisner Intergenerational Choir (HOLA EIC) brings together singers from teens to adults of any age in a multicultural environment that is representative of our great city, once per week, on Wednesday evenings. Designed to share the joy of music-making with performers and community members alike, our singers benefit from interactions with each other while progressing toward a common goal of artistic excellence across a diverse musical repertoire.

Audition Policy - Prospective members will be asked to demonstrate the following skills:
1. Pitch and Interval Recognition: Match (sing) several pitches and intervals that will be played on the piano.
2. Intonation: Sing a few bars of a familiar, well-known melody (such as 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star' or 'Happy Birthday') unaccompanied.
3. Part-Singing: Participate in singing a simple part-song (round) with the auditioner.
4. Vocal Range: Your vocal range will also be assessed. Note: The ability to read music is not required.

Rehearsal Information - Wednesdays from 7:30 till 9:30PM with an optional fundamentals session from 7 till 7:30PM.
